BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC looked into how a convicted murderer, released from state prison on parole two weeks ago, ended up as a registered voter in Brighton. The head of the Republican Party in Monroe County wrote a letter to the Monroe County district attorney asking her to investigate.

Anthony Bottom spent 44 years in prison for killing two New York City police officers. Within 24 hours of getting out of prison, a voter registration form was submitted to the Monroe County Board of Elections with the parolee's signature.

The head of Republican Party in the county believes that was a crime.

Bottom was paroled on Oct. 7 and moved into a home in Brighton.

The head of Republican Party in the county believes that was a crime.

What the head of Republican Party believes is immaterial,

Is it a crime or is it not?

I have no information one way or the other...but I don't believe it is a crime. But...that doesn't matter either,

This POS was born in California. What is he doing in Brighton, NY? Must be he hooked up with someone from the Rochester area he connected with while doing time.

He was paroled, not pardoned by Cuomo. According to the article, his official parole papers list him as not being allowed to vote, so I'd think that knowingly registering to vote would be a violation of some sort.

I really, Really, REALLY hate the idea of a paroled cop killer.

There was a time, not too long ago, when such a concept was inconceivable, not to mention impossible.

He’ll just make a call to mini mike bloomberg for a cash bribe to cuomo to re establish his voting rights.
