If the states are already mandating it, what is the point?
Fauci, I don’t know how good of a doctor you are, but you are a lousy Constitutionalist.
There is no authority for the President to issue a national mask order to the general population.
He can mandate masks on Federal property, but not on state or private lands or buildings.
Gotta keep protestors anonymous don’t you know, else they might be held responsible by their neighbors.
I know a lot of Freepers believe he is a Deep State Player who is out to sabotage the POTUS.
But I just think he is a putz out of is depth.
This guy needs a half helicopter ride.
I don’t see “mask mandate” anywhere in the Constitution. It can be recommended to the states and people, but that ain’t the Federales’ job.
We’re his little lab rats. We’re an experiment and nothing more. I do not believe one life has been saved because of a mask.
Mask mandates don’t work. People who are going to wear masks are going to wear them. People who aren’t going to wear masks aren’t going to wear them.
And the Federal government has zero authority to mandate such a thing anyway.
If they actually cared about getting people to wear masks effectively, they’d made good quality masks easily available at no cost and fund commercials and advertising teaching people how and when to wear them properly.

The governors are perfectly capable of doing that on their own, Dr. Doom. My own gross, corrupt governor (Lockdown Larry Hogan, GOPe-MD) has a comprehensive version in place, for example.

Yup. And if they were really an effective virus blocker, then many used masks would be crawling with virii.
Why hasn’t anyone advised public and private building managers to have bio-hazard bins everywhere inside and outside buildings, for safe disposal of used masks?
The America Donald Trump seeks to restore always honored high achievers as role models, and constitutionally forbad any tax that would redistribute the fruits of their achievement. In an envy & hate driven attack on the American culture, the new Left of the Clintons, Obamas & Bidens, seeks to put a ceiling on individual achievement; to tear down what is left of our heritage. The American achievement--the future of any American achievement--is the issue.
Next Tuesday, God willing, the real America will prevail. There must never be a Governmental attack on individual achievement again!
