I'm going to guess that dog killers are not treated particularly kindly in Florida state prisons.

Insane. Abortion is ok though.
US has one of the worst legal systems in the world.
God is judging this heinous society. Those in the legal system are mostly destined for Hell.

The dog was worth a hundred times more than this worthless waste of oxygen and space. HIs obviously lawyer-coached statement (I doubt if he understood half of it!) was disgusting. He has no remorse actually and would do it again in a minute. Meanwhile, the city lost a loyal officer which cost thousands of dollars. I think 25 years in prison is warranted; it will keep this worthless bag of trash off the streets and prevent him from preying on other innocents.

“He received five years for the dog’s death and a 20-year sentence for the other charges, according to News4Jax”

Yet another article with a misleading and incorrect headline. He did not get 25 years for killing a police dog.

Cops shoot your dog: no consquences.

You shoot cop’s dog: 25 years.

The article refutes the headline right up front:

is sentenced to 25 years for the dog's death

He received five years for the dog's death and a 20-year sentence for the other charges,

Gee, headline is a bit inflammatory.

He got 5 years for the dog's killing, 20 for the other crimes, which was light.
