A hallmark of Covid-19 pandemic policy has been the failure of political leaders and health officials to anticipate the unintended consequences of their actions. This tendency has haunted many decisions, from lockdowns that triggered enormous unemployment and increased alcohol and drug abuse, to school closures that are widening educational disparities between rich and poor families. Mask mandates may also have unintended consequences that outweigh the benefits.
First, consider how the debate has evolved and the underlying scientific evidence. Several randomized trials of community or household masking have been completed. Most have shown that wearing a mask has little or no effect on respiratory virus transmission, according to a review published earlier this year in Emerging Infectious Diseases, the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions journal. In March, when Anthony Fauci said, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better but its not providing the perfect protection that people think it is, his statement reflected scientific consensus, and was consistent with the World Health Organizations guidance.
Almost overnight, the recommendations flipped. The reason? The risk of asymptomatic transmission. Health officials said mask mandates were now not only reasonable but critical. This is a weak rationale, given that presymptomatic spread of respiratory viruses isnt a novel phenomenon in public health. Asymptomatic cases of influenza occur in up to a third of patients, according to a 2016 report in Emerging Infectious Diseases, and even more patients had mild cases that are never diagnosed. Asymptomatic or mild cases appear to contribute more to Covid-19 transmission, but this happens in flu cases, too, though no one has called for mask mandates during flu season.
The public assumes that research performed since the beginning of the pandemic supports mask mandates.

“Feel Safe”
I voted and they required a masking gave everyone their own pen, meanwhile everyone uses the same door knob to get inside.
And we're his lab rats.
Every flu season, until we rise up, we will be told to don our masks.
To which I say ...
Be a moron.
The masks are minimally effective at best but it gives some people the courage to function in society and avoid near total lockdown. The “lockdowns” themselves do not work and cause economic and human destruction.
I did curbside voting from the safety of my car.

The masks are just a show of control to get us ready for Bill Gates nano-vaxes.
My polling place didn’t require masks and only about 10-20% of those in line (outside) had them. Inside, plenty of space and all the workers had masks of course.
I was wondering how other states and locales handled it.
LOL
Every flu season, until we rise up, we will be told to don our masks. <<<
Yes....and as an added bonus..if we wear them year-round..it will cure the common cold as well!!!!......../s
I think it’s possible that masks actually help the spread. When you wear one you’re constantly having to readjust it, which transmits bacteria from your hands to your face.
I am COVID survivor and a veteran. This plandemic is an attempt to turn America into a third world dystopian shithole.
Some parts already are.
People under the age of 65 (minus co-morbidities) have a 99.5% chance of survival.
Americans should be on the Zelenko protocol (after consulting their physician, with any health concerns) and get this country wide open.
Zelenko Protocol for Low and Moderate Risk Patients:
* Elemental Zinc 25 mg once a day
* Vitamin C 1000 mg once a day
* Quercetin 500 mg (OTC) once a day
Thanks for the full version of this great article.
He missed the part about it being one of the greatest psyops populace control experiments in history.
Also, our Dear Leaders will never, ever back down on this. It will take mass civil disobedience, but does the public understand the psychological and spiritual effects?
Well...I (unfortunately) saw Sen Tammy Duckworth today at the hearing demanding that Twitter, Google and FB agree not to allow ‘disinformation” on their sites such as “masks don’t work”.
A long time ago disinformation would have been that the world isn’t flat. How STUPID - or how corrupt - are these people?
