Monmouth poll: Biden takes slim lead in Georgia, Ossoff-Perdue deadlocked
Atlanta Journal-Constitution ^ | 10/28/20 | Greg Bluestein

The Monmouth University poll released Wednesday shows Democrats making recent gains in Georgia, with Joe Biden eking out a slim lead over President Donald Trump and Jon Ossoff knotted up against U.S. Sen. David Perdue.

It’s also the latest poll that has Democrat Raphael Warnock as the clear front-runner in the chaotic special election for U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler’s seat – and it gives him a head-to-head lead over both Loeffler and U.S. Rep. Doug Collins in a likely Jan. 5 runoff.

Ahh I see it is a poll of just Georgia voters. Now it makes sense.

Why would anyone vote for Jon Ossoff?

Why would anyone vote for Stacey Abrams? But they did, and in surprising numbers. There's a reason Biden went to Ga. yesterday. I want to believe it's because he's an idiot, but there has to be a better reason.

If Trump is behind in Georgia it’s probably fall out from fiery but peaceful protests more than anything. He better not be behind in Georgia or this state’s in real trouble

For you: I have a very good friend who is a well connected political activist who has worked on both state and national level campaigns. One of his friends is a very well respected data scientist who owns a large firm who does data analyses for big business, government and other entities. He also does politics. He did Trump’s internals for 2016 and has worked on other campaigns. He is very accurate and works as independent and gives people real world numbers. He uses the scientific method using the actual demographics along with bigger sample sizes. Most of the polls you see are done by the political hacks who are trying to discourage people from voting. I have seen much of the data coming from this resource start showing up with other pollsters so we can use him as a leading indicator. I would love to share his name and firm but I cannot. His data is also not available to the public so you will not be able to find it.

I don’t see any GA events on the donaldjtrump.com site schedule at this point in time so they must feel comfortable with where things are at the moment. That could change in a day or two though!

Yes.
But then Trump has not handled the public relations on coronavirus very well.
He's actually done better than most other country in the west save Sweden, all things considered.
He has just not articulated the things he's done very well, like ventilators (he managed to make Ford produce so many ventilators, we ended up giving them away to other countries), PPEs, hospital ships, converting the Javits center to a hospital in next to no time etc etc.
Everything the governors asked for, he gave them. They all said so before everything got heated in the run up to November.
Trump needs to do a video of his great accomplishments on coronavirus and show them at his rallies.
And in, he should have sacked Fauci long ago. He is a cancer.

You numbers are garbage, you selectivly picked specific one time pole sets. Trump was hands donw in nearly all the polls always way behind.

It was one of the biggest new items days and weeks after so you can stop trying to rewrite history. I will believe my own eyes and past experiences, not a sophist’s posts selectively edited.

My view is that Dubya should have injected himself forcefully into Louisiana after Katrina and cleaned the place up instead of letting Blanco screw up while pinning the blame on him. IMO, the GOP paid the price in the 2016 mid-terms for Dubya’s devotion to federalism. Trump is once again standing by the GOP’s attachment to federalism, in spite of the Democrats’ flouting of this principle at every turn to encroach upon traditional state prerogatives so as to advance Democratic objectives.

If Trump loses, we might see Republicans finally discard federalism as a failed idea much as the judicial filibuster was, in the face of one-sided adherence to it. Tucker Carlson said it was a mistake not to put down the riots using Federal troops. Trump obviously thinks it’s not. We’ll see who’s right soon enough.

Ok, some real data. Black turnout in GA for 2016 was 30%. Early vote now-28%.

They’re not my numbers:

Any other internet source you can quote would be a valuable addition to this thread.

Ossoff is indeed the archetypal post turtle. I can’t believe he might become a Senator.
