The unfortunate reality the community is forced to confront.
The selfish, opportunistic looters don’t GAS about the community.
The looters should be captured and forced into cold-weather labor camps, and given the opportunity for a reduced sentence by immediately ratting out their accomplices.
“Hell no, I ain’t lootin’ ... not gonna end up in no Alaskan labor camp”
I don’t see that as “cruel and unusual”.
Just good old fashioned hard work in a cold environment where you are given the right clothing to wear.
But it would work well. Hard work in any kind of uncomfortable weather would have a tremendous effect on cutting this nonsense down.
