New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) on Monday called on New Yorkers to avoid traveling for the holidays, suggesting they risk bringing back the Wuhan coronavirus to the city and infecting other residents.
“I have to urge all New Yorkers: do not travel out of state for the holidays,” De Blasio said during a press briefing at City Hall. “Do not travel to a state with a high infection rate. Do not travel to a country with a high infection rate.
“For those who do travel, recognize how important it is to get tested and recognize there is a very strict quarantine in New York State and if you go elsewhere you will have to observe a two-week quarantine coming back,” the Democrat mayor added. “There are a few states that is not true for -but only a few states- the vast majority of American states now are on the New York state quarantine list.”

We are seeing draconian actions being taken, for a virus which most people have a 99 plus percent chance of recovery.
At least for liberals, we aren’t supposed to ask if this is really necessary for such a virus. At least for liberals , we aren’t supposed to ask about all the collateral damage done by lockdowns and restrictions on society. To liberals, we aren’t supposed to do any cost and benefit analysis of what we are doing.

A friend of mine got married this weekend. We are in Wisconsin (can tell from my username). Her son lives in New York. He initially was going to fly into Michigan(apparently they are a “good” state) and drive here. He ended up flying into Milwaukee Saturday morning and flew back Sunday morning. If you are only in the “bad” state less than 24 hours, it is all good. Huh? So, he came here, went to the wedding, hugged lots of people and flew back to NY.
Make that make sense.
