Hard to de-escalate someone charging you brandishing a knife.
Defend and Defund are a little too close for comfort.
everybody is “turning their life around”, in this case, by threatening people with a knife, and then turning around and running at the police who then killed him.
Black Lives Matter? Your life matters if you MAKE it matter. Not simply because of the pigment in your skin.
I’ve posted more or less the same thing over and over, but here it goes again. I’m a middle-aged white guy in a nice small suburban town and am on good terms with our chief of police. If one day I decided to charge at said chief of police with a knife while he was on duty I have no doubt that he would shoot me dead. He wouldn’t “try to talk me down”, or “shoot me in the legs” either.
I also have no doubt that not a single store window in my town would be broken afterwards.
Yes, by all means let the criminals kill the disposable police officers.
Soon there won’t be people to take the policing jobs.

Some folks are weaker than the rest of us. They can’t
shoulder responsibility.
The guy was ready to commit murder of a law enforcement
officer. He was shot dead instead.
So from this attempt at a capital crime, came at least
thirty injured officers, one of them run over with a car,
and then rioting and looting.
My patience is overdrawn.
Time to start payback.
