ANN ARBOR, MI Fewer University of Michigan students are voting at Ann Arbors early campus voting location since the county issued a stay-in-place order for students.
And thats a concern for some who are hoping for increased student turnout in the 2020 presidential election.
Why are students allowed to vote on campus EVER?
They are NOT permanent residents!
And many of them vote by absentee ballot in their home towns, anyway.
This allows them to vote in at least two jurisdictions!
This is one ruling that needs to be overturned pronto. They can vote absentee where they actually live.
see this here? Covid coming to bite the libs... They reap what they sow...
Residency is, typically, established in 6 months. This is a good thing. With all the schools closed from in class attendance, many students are away from their voting locations.
Haha.
I SO want to comment about karma right now .... but I think I need to recuse myself as to not push my luck.
And for kids that may have come from Red States and feel like their votes could make a difference for Dems in the battleground State they were attending college in...?
You think they’re going to show up to vote for Dems in their solid Red State?
I’m betting they won’t.
Yut vote Ping.
This is not taken seriously by the media, of course.
I heard a several minutes phone interview I never have forgotten. A giggling male college student described how he voted four times.
At his college apt. address polling place nearby, absentee from an incorrect old campus address they never checked, another old address in person saying he lost his driver’s license (temporary permission form ok’d by poll person—they say no staff available to really check all those later) and finally a fast drive down to his mother’s house where he voted in person using her address on pieces of ID and bills such as grades, tuition and fee records, just before polls closed at night. He giggled about it all.
Lessee, I can’t recall, seems to me someone was saying this back in July, can’t put my finger on it . . .

Never been to MI...but curious about Ann Arbor....seems like a lovely college town....I love the first album by Ann Arbor band Brownsville Station “No BS” from 1970....Great old fashioned, cozy sounding rock n roll....as a musician myself, just listening to that album gives me the feeling that Ann Arbor is a fun place for a local musician to play gigs
Foisted by their own retards.
My friends up the road near the capital will quickly point out that Ann, is in fact, a whore’s name. And that the city itself is a lot like California; full of fruits and nuts.
Liberal Ann Arbor? Good that the brats aren’t voting.
Well at least the Mich Dems are consistent. They dont care if people vote as long as they dont leave the house.
My sincere apologies to any Freepers whose name is Ann. That being said, those Wolverines will thoroughly kick the crap out of my beloved Spartans this weekend. So congrats to all you Piss and Blue fans out there for another year kicking our butts.
“some who are hoping for increased student turnout”
AKA Democrats.
No, students will not be voting in record numbers when they are hiding at home because they’re paranoid about the virus. This is going to backfire on the Dems bigtime.
I guess a lot of students will be rolling in only one place this year. In their home communities, not college communities. I suspect this is going to give a unique opportunity for communities to regain control over their local governments.
