Careful—Trump has been right, in a big way, every time he goes against conventional wisdom:
Job creation.
Trade policy.
The environment.
North Korea.
The Middle East.
I contributed to the red tsunami today R across the board!
How about getting the AG office filled with someone that will do the job and indict some of these people that should have been UNDER the jail already.
How about a law declaring ANTIFA and BLM a terrorist org. A real honest protect the citizens LAW.
How about your first term promise to put HRC in jail? At your rallies people are screaming to have her jailed.
Whatever you do, do not move to the left one iota and start kissing these commies asses. Stay strong, stay American
It is called spending and do not expect anyone in the swamp to lower it by any serious amount. They will nibble at the edges but never slash what needs to be slashed, the unelected mob in the alphabet orgs
This is a great discussion which I didn’t expect.
I agree federal spending needs to be cut and you can start with the alphabet list of agencies rather that military/SS. I am hoping America will be ready for it in 2024 when a solid fiscal conservative with a record can take over from President Trump (i.e Rand Paul :))
The Penny plan for example shows you make modest 1-2% cuts a year and have a balanced budget within 5 years.
Just slowing the growth of government can have a real impact!
The deficit is really concerning especially thanks to COVID (NOT Trump’s fault) ...
Something has to give.
I love you.
I was thinking the same thing. I applaud the cuts. Cut them to nothing. Repeal the income tax altogether, but something has to be done about spending. Hack and slash.
15 % was for an individual, anymore and they will work to avoid.
Everyone needs to contribute something to the tax base. This is where a flat tax is most fair. Meanwhile--cut spending. Bigly.
I agree that spending is still out of control.
But Ive long believed the two issues overspending and overtaxing should be de-linked.
Cutting taxes should never be conditional upon cutting spending - saying so is a Leftist strategy to justify doing neither.
The Right has used a disingenuous strategy as well: Namely, the argument that cutting tax rates increases tax revenues, and are therefore revenue neutral. This is sometimes true but not always.
Yet, although disingenuous, I support Republicans using this argument if it allows them to win politically and cut taxes.
My favorite fiscal slogan - used by Ronald Reagan - was take away their wallet.
Regarding deficit spending, there is much evil to be unraveled. Somehow, the American people need to reject the expanded role of government and return to the state of liberty and self-dependency intended by the Founders.
The whole Federal Reserve and monetary system needs to be scrapped and replaced.
Totally agreed. The spending part of the equation must be addressed. The sad part is, with this fake 'pandemic' still buzzing around everyone's heads, that's gonna be a hard sell.
As did I...and my wife...and both my sons, the younger of whom voted in his very first election this time. Straight 'R' ticket (even if we had to write-in a couple).
...and to think of all the black budgets that could be roped in. these people who run these black ops are a big part of the Swamp, too. put them on a leash
A trend i have observed is that STATE TAXES ARE GOING UP.
I guess we better let POTUS know :-)
Reagan tried to roll back the RATE OF GROWTH of federal spending and the media totally lied about it, saying he wanted to cut real spending PERIOD. Republicans were painted as wanting to starve women and children and kill off old people. As Goebbels said, if you lie to the people often enough they will take it as the truth.
The media’s narrative, hammered away at us 24/7, is hard to shake in the minds of millions of voters who cannot think clearly anymore.
Ah, odds are good you’re smarter than me so i’ll go with what you say :)
Trump doesn’t have to be concerned with winning again and maybe can hit deficit spending hard.
i’d be happy to owe 10 trillion at this point! :)
and now the fed owns us.
with all that debt, we need interest rates to stay at almost zero
You are correct sir.
EVERYTHING has to be on the table.
Maybe not the military. I dunno.
I never have answers. I just yell :)
