Not that I watch or WOULD watch either CNBC or Shep, this seems like quite the mismatch.
To: marcusmaximus
I havent watched cable news in well over a decade now other than a occasional check when something big happens in the news but thats it..
Smith was always terrible.

Must have made his husband happy when his butt puckered up when he received those ratings!!!!!!!

Is Shep still crying about GWB not getting food to the starving citizens of New Orleans?
It was Shep's shameful performance in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina that started me to question the veracity of Fox News slogan "We Report, You Decide". It's only gotten several magnitudes worse since then.

Since when did this communist outlet cared about ratings when they’re funded by china!!

There’s a hurricane headed for New Orleans.
$20 says he’ll be out there reprising his Katrina roll.

I’m shocked. What was his market differentiator supposed to be? With all the alphabet networks pumping anti-Trump garbage 24/7, was there really room for one more program?

I get WGN Chicago on cable.
Decades ago, WGN was the first, or one of the first, local channels to move onto national cable systems.
Suddenly, WGN has become a mostly All-News channel at exactly the same time that Shephard’s broadcast started.
I have watched WGN Almost All News briefly, so I cannot fairly judge its political orientation, but it claims to be “Just News,” so I assume it is center-left, or worse, most of the time.
Anyway, unless producing news programs is really cheap, Shephard has no chance of surviving.
Almost every program on TV - news or entertainment - is selling Hard Left political advocacy.
There are not enough eyeballs to support that kind of madness.
