The total case count has surpassed 8.6 million and the death toll rose above 225,000. Globally, more than 43 million have been affected with more than 1.1 million dead.
In recent days, some experts and reports have referred to this as a third wave, while others refer to it as either an elongated first wave or a second wave.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, settled the debate this Monday at its annual All Markets Summit.
“I look at it more as an elongated — and an exacerbation of — the original first wave,” Fauci said.

Pretty odd statement. The US is an enormous geographical region and it really doesn’t make any sense to look at it as a single entity. Some states haven’t seen much activity at all so far. Alaska is only now beginning to see some cases. Whereas New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island are clearly starting a second wave.
It’s a shame he doesn’t seem to think before he speaks. Probably why the media loves him so much.
Good - then he can admit that the death rate is rapidly approaching normal statistical flu season levels.

It's 100 years...we are not the same people and we know more than they did in 1918.....yet we're still groping. And Fauci is just looking for stats...We're his lab rats.
We know that they moved patients outside in 1918....and the nurses took maskless walks every morning and only wore masks around patients.
They did NOT quarantine well people. And I believe that's what Fauci was trying to create stats on.
Cuomo was more than shocked when he found out that 66$ of new cases were people who had been confined to their homes.

Cases don’t matter. I know three people who have tested positive in the past week. Two in MA, one in Texas. One of them is “sick.” They told her to take vitamin D and C.

But it is much more serious this time because the people getting it have no symptoms and are passing it on to others who also end up having no symptoms. So thank God for billions spent on all the new tests which oversample to the point that anyone who has ever had any type of exposure comes back positive... If not for that no one would know we were having a resurgence and that would be terrible. /s
In reality we are starting to get into flu season and everyone who has a mild case of the flu is being called a Covid case. What makes you feel a little under the weather is often a conglomeraion of viruses and not just one. Last March my neighbors were sick. Coronavirus tests were not available for anyone who wanted them at that time. But she told me that they were so grateful that they tested positive for the flu, because they knew that it was “harmless”. I told her... that you can have more than one resperatory virus at a time. Just because they tested positve for the flu didn’t mean that they didn’t also have coronavirus. She would not talk to me for a month afterwards.
That shriveled-up old son of a b!tch is doing his damndest to sap the spirits of the American people and rob them of any hope whatsoever for the future.
