And then there is John Roberts, who knows what he is.
Breyer is next. He's 82 years old. If Trump wins, my bet is he announces his retirement soon. He's not going to hang around another 4 years - there's no guarantee a democrat will win in four years.
Also up for consideration is Justice Thomas who is 72. If he wants out before his health sours, I'll bet he wants Trump to name his successor.

From one perspective, he is developing a new center on the court with the Chief Justice. Kavanaugh voted with Roberts more often than any other justice, sticking with the chief 94% of the time.
