I know someone that came down with COVID two weeks after getting a flu shot. They were in a VERY low case county (121), and only had a couple of coworkers and has no idea how they got it.
Yup...here’s my story...
My 94 yr old MIL likely became one of those stats ...she died 10/14 ...they tested her upon entry to hospital 10/9 (she went for congestive heart issues)...and found covid...sent her to covid hospital near Portland for better care...resmevidir didnt work. Her assisted living facility has had no covid until 10/9...and they were all tested about Sept. 28th...and again right after MIL was diagnosed...no positives...but heres the thing...EVERYONE got a Flu shot on Oct 1st....and now they have had 4 (incuding 2 staff & MIL) with covid...Hhhmmmm
What other things did that person do? Did they go to the grocery store? Did they go to convenience stores? Shopping at any point?
The insinuation is that getting the flu shot is somehow related to their contracting COVID-19, but that’s as silly as saying “they put on shoes and then they got COVID. Wearing shoes causes COVID!”
Every single assisted living facility that has had COVID outbreaks was COVID-free before the outbreak. Then, someone who was infected and likely had no symptoms entered, and COVID-19 began to spread.
This has been happening way before anyone got a flu shot. This conspiracy theory nonsense about the flu shot causing COVID is going to get a lot of people killed.

My contention is that flu shot MAY cause immune system problems. Especially for weaker folks.
And, more people will be killed because medical community does not check vit d3 levels, IMHO.
Where are the stats for this claim coming from?
There’s zero evidence to support that theory. It’s not even a theory really; just a complete guess which I would guess is based on an inaccurate understanding of how the human immune system works.
Meanwhile, Influenza kills tens of thousands of people every year. Rather than scaring people with mystery theories about the flu shot that have zero supporting evidence, we ought to be encouraging everyone who can get inoculated against Influenza to do so. That has concrete evidence to demonstrate it saves many thousands of lives.
The flu shot successfully prevents 20-50% of flu depending on year...I think you know that.....Vit D levels ARE important.
Factually incorrect. It’s 40-60% effective. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/vaccines-work/vaccineeffect.htm
And for a disease that kills 20,000-60,000 people, that’s many thousands of lives that can be saved through inoculation.
