‘If Trump wins, Chris Wray and Gina Haspel will immediately be fired’…

If President Trump wins re-election, he’ll move to immediately fire FBI Director Christopher Wray and also expects to replace CIA Director Gina Haspel and Defense Secretary Mark Esper.

The big picture: The list of planned replacements is much longer, but these are Trump’s priorities.

Wray and Haspel are despised and distrusted almost universally in Trump’s inner circle. He would have fired both already, one official said, if not for the political headaches of acting before Nov. 3. Trump last week signed an executive order that “is a really big deal” that would make it easier for presidents to get rid of career government officials. There could be shake-ups across other departments. The president has never been impressed with Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, for example. But that doesn’t carry the urgency of replacing Wray or Haspel.

While Trump has also privately vented about Attorney General Bill Barr, he hasn’t made any formal plans to replace him, an official said.

Trump is furious that Barr isn’t releasing before the election what Trump hoped would be a bombshell report by U.S. Attorney John Durham on the Obama administration’s handling of the Trump-Russia investigation.

Behind the scenes: “The view of Haspel in the West Wing is that she still sees her job as manipulating people and outcomes, the way she must have when she was working assets in the field,” one source with direct knowledge of the internal conversations told Axios. “It’s bred a lot of suspicion of her motives.”

Trump is also increasingly frustrated with Haspel for opposing the declassification of documents that would help the Justice Department’s Durham report.

As for Wray, whose expected firing was first reported by The Daily Beast, Trump is angry his second FBI chief didn’t launch a formal investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business connections — and didn’t purge more officials Trump believes abused power to investigate his 2016 campaign’s ties to Russia.

Trump also grew incensed when Wray testified in September that the FBI has not seen widespread election fraud, including with mail-in ballots.

Trump soured on Esper over the summer when the Defense secretary rebuffed the idea of sending active-duty military into the streets to deal with racial justice protests and distanced himself from the clearing of Lafayette Square for a photo op at St. John’s church.

Trump indicated to Axios then that he “really wasn’t focused on” firing Esper. One senior official cautioned that others who want the Pentagon job could be driving speculation to undercut Esper. But one source, who discussed options with Trump, told Axios he urged the president to wait until post-election to replace him.

Right now I am only sure about Wray and Haspel. This story broke in the UK Daily mail so I don’t give it much credence.

Does anyone with more knowledge than me and I know there are tons of you who have a list of potential candidates for some of these positions? I just believe the pool of choices is very very small. Of course they have to be fired. I totally agree with that. But it is not so easy to find people who will not stand up to the resistance and have a proven record engine stand up to stress and not stab you in the back.

They should be fired and both organizations should be completely shut down and rebuilt

If Trump loses, he should also fire Wray and Haspel immediately.

Not sure about this story...could be Fake news...

But, would make some sense if these two have been obstructing on behalf of the Democrats...

Based upon recent DJT comments and lack of production on Russiagate, I would think that Barr is also on the chopping block...he talks a good game, but Trump is a bottomline guy...

If indictments are impossible in DC, move the damn thing to a more balanced judicial district...these were treasonous crimes against the Commander in Chief...I vote for Gitmo military tribunals ...

I’ve been slowly moving into the “Barr must be fired.” camp. Unless his inaction has been cleared by Trump to create a distraction, his unwillingness to enforce even a semblance of accountability in the DOJ and FBI is inexcusable and reeks of nefarious intent. I suggest that after winning the election that Trump show Barr the AG’s raw intelligence file and give him the choice of getting with the program or having the file printed on the front page of every media outlet in the world.

This is the best news I’ve heard yet. Those agencies have been turned against the American people, along with the IRS, NSA, etc. Close them all down and start over.

Reminds me of a line from the movie "Midway"

"He's good man, a natural pilot, good attitude, good marksman....Tom's only deficiency would be in...enemy identification"

Hopefully Trump would "choose(more)wisely" in a second term.

....unfortunately, the Deep State/others might not want to take that chance.

It’s a given that Wray is toast. Haspel and Esper are probable.

I don’t think Esper is even probable. Take that previous incident with a grain of salt. If it were serious Esper would have been gone that very day.

>> both organizations should be completely shut down and rebuilt abolished...the buildings demolished and replaced with parking garages.

Their "workload" can be picked up by some of the other 17 "intelligence" agencies. The spooks that survive prosecution can seek employment in the dreaded private sector.
