Campaign contribution numbers provide some indications of where big tech money may be influencing Republicans on the Judiciary Committee.
(LifeSiteNews) — The Senate Judiciary Committee voted on Thursday to issue subpoenas to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey over allegations of censorship.
The social media giant had engaged in the “suppression and/or censorship” of bombshell reports by the New York Post charging members of the Biden Family with significant financial corruption — allegations which could serve to hurt Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s presidential run.
The vote comes following promises made on October 15th during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett, but was postponed on Monday “after some panel Republicans expressed reservation,” Politico reported.
Alarming concerns have been growing among conservatives about the enormous power of Big Tech companies over discourse in the public square, and their resulting interference in the election process. Conservatives have seen their publications and news reports suppressed by tech giants like Facebook and Twitter, but also Google, which owns the streaming platform YouTube.
In one interview, Harmeet Dhillon, an American lawyer and Republican Party official, warned GOP leadership of inaction. “Republicans are ignoring this at their peril … we are going to lose every single election going forward if we don’t put a stop to this bias,” she said.
Striving to understand general Republican inaction, or incompetence, on this fundamental threat to their short- and long-term interests, Dhillon expressed concerns about “Republicans being paid off by Big Tech” or those GOP members who are simply “ill-informed.”
A quick analysis of campaign contributions reveals, first, a heavy bias of Big Tech communities and their PACs in favor of the liberal agenda.
Secondly, it shows a possible correlation between financial donations to some Republicans, particularly those on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and their apparent hesitation to engage the threat to free speech with force and urgency.
As of October 15th, donations from Alphabet (Google), for example, have flowed into the coffers of Democrats at a rate of 93.81% as compared to 6.61% for Republicans. Individual employees or owners of Alphabet, and their immediate family, have donated almost $1.9 million to the Biden campaign, and less than $45,000 to the Trump campaign.
The same holds true for other tech giants including Twitter, which provides 99.18% of its contributions to Democrats and a whopping 0.82% to Republicans. Facebook, also subject to yesterday’s senate committee subpoena, posts similar numbers coming in at 91.75% for Democrats and 8.25% for Republicans.
All of this serves to establish a reasonable political motive on the part of these corporations to — as expressed by Sens. Hawley and Cruz — “rig an election” through interference “in a way that has no precedent in the history of our country.”
The campaign contribution numbers also give some indications of where big tech money may be influencing Republicans on the Judiciary Committee, for better or for worse, including those who may have hesitated and “expressed reservation” postponing the subpoena process earlier this week.
Big Tech companies are not listed anywhere in Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) top one hundred contributing organizations, for instance, and his record shows he has been zealously opposing censorship of conservatives in the public square.
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), who has also shown committed leadership on this issue, has received only one PAC contribution of $7,500 from Microsoft this cycle.
Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID) received only $2,700 from individuals associated with Amazon, and Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) received only $10,000 from PACs associated with Microsoft and Amazon.
The contributions to some other Republican senators on the committee, however, show why there may be hesitation to engage the threat of Big Tech censorship.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) comes in with a combined $138,677 in donations this cycle, with Microsoft being his eighth largest contributor overall.
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) seconds Lee at $120,048, including $23,800 from Facebook, and Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) comes in third with $92,155, including a $20,000 PAC donation from Facebook.
For Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE), his total Big Tech donations amount to $79,950, with Google being his 17th largest donor, and Microsoft his 24th.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has received $57,950, and Google remains his eighth largest donor.
Finally, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) has received $47,320, Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) $32,082, and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) $17,500, with Microsoft being her fourth largest contributor.
In 2015, then-candidate Donald Trump explained how campaign donations work. “I gave to many people [politicians] … I give to everybody,” he said. “When they call, I give. And do you know what? When I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them, they are there for me. And that’s a broken system.”

It won’t lead to anything of consequence, of course, unless maybe it gets Dobbs to slow his attack on the Graham cracker crumb, which helps him survive the election and the GOP to hold the Senate.

They hesitated because they’re getting money from them.

The Unbelievable Saga of Hunter Biden’s Laptop and the Biden Crime Family - Please copy and repost!
The following compendium reflects my CURRENT understanding of the context and the events surrounding the saga of Hunter Biden’s laptop and the Biden Crime Family:
Joe Biden and his first wife, Neilia, had three children: Hunter, Beau and Naomi. In 1972, Neilia and Naomi died in a car accident when Neilia pulled out in front of a semi-trailer truck . Joe Biden always, but inaccurately, explains she was hit by a “drunk driver”, but the trucker was not even ticketed. Joe eventually married a woman named Jill, his current wife.
He already knew her because she had been Hunter’s babysitter at the time of the car accident. (Yeah, THAT seems normal - marry the babysitter!) Together they had a daughter named Ashley. Ashley lives “a quiet life” and is frequently in and out of rehab for various drug abuse issues.
Now sadly, the sanest, most normal one of the 3 surviving kids, Beau, died in 2015 from a brain tumor. He had been married to Haillie and they had 2 children, a boy and a girl named Natalie, who was 11 years old when her dad died.
Enter Hunter Biden, in 2015, to “comfort” his brother’s widow. Mind you, Hunter was still married at the time to Kathleen Biden, and had been since 1993. He started screwing around with his dead brother’s wife in 2015. His wife Kathleen found out about it and they separated.
Hunter moved in with his dead brother’s wife, Haillie, and her two kids and they had a grand old time. He ultimately got divorced from Kathleen in 2017. Meanwhile, he started screwing around with a stripper, while still shacked up with his dead brother’s wife, and before his own divorce was even finalized! Then he got the stripper pregnant!
Haillie kicked his butt to the curb (presumably for this indiscretion!) in 2018. He denied the stripper’s baby was his, although a paternity test quickly proved otherwise. Hunter eventually married a woman named Melissa in 2019 after knowing her for all of 6 days. The poor stripper is still waiting on her court-ordered child support from Hunter.
Does the fairy tale end there? Why no; no, it doesn’t.
That just sets the stage....!
Enter the laptop from hell...loaded with emails, text messages, photos, child pornography, videos, and other sordid digital images of drug use and rampant weirdness....
Hunter Biden dropped the laptop off in Delaware, his home state, to get it repaired. It seems he splashed some water on it while in a meth-induced state of mind. He then neglected to pay the $85.00 repair fee and the laptop became the repair shop owner’s property for non-payment by operation of law. When the owner saw what was on it, he was so disturbed that he contacted the DOJ and FBI. They subpoenaed and took possession of the laptop in December 2019, while President Trump’s sham impeachment was going on. But the shop owner had wisely made 4 copies of the hard drive, it seems.
When the FBI did nothing, (not even mentioning that there appeared to be emails on it clearing President Trump!) the shop owner decided to contact Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer. Thus, Rudy ended up with one or more copies of the hard drive that he ultimately provided to the New York Post’s investigative reporters. Rudy and the retired NYC Chief of Police Bernie Kerik, also turned a copy over to the Delaware State Police. But it is likely the Delaware State Police will do nothing about it, both because Joe Biden is so influential in that state, and because the late Beau Biden was once the State Attorney General.
But as it turns out, there’s quite a lot of child pornography on there.....much of it involving children on Hunter’s many trips to China.
The Chinese Communist Party uses this as a blackmail tactic. They supply the young girls, they film you, (unknowingly?) and then they can keep you “in line”, while paying you the big $$$ to do their bidding, like lucrative deals with your VP father.
So the Chinese Communist Party uses BOTH the Carrot AND the Stick!
Millions of dollars were paid to Hunter Biden for favors with the US Govt while Joe Biden was VP under Hussein Obama.
For an estimated 8 years Hunter made the contacts and split the money with his father, referred to as the “Big Guy” in all emails detailing how their ill-gotten gains would be split up amongst all the criminals involved. Joe Biden sold out his country and used his meth head son to do it.
But, IT GETS WORSE. Today, on the laptop, emails were released between Beau Biden’s widow, Haillie, and Joe Biden in 2017 and more in 2018 when she and Hunter were still living together. They were casually talking about the continual “sexually inappropriate behavior” she had witnessed from Hunter toward her 14 year-old daughter, Natalie, HIS NIECE!
She told Joe that she felt she had put her children in a dangerous situation by getting involved with Hunter Biden. Joe knew his son was screwing around with his niece and he advised his daughter-in-law to go to therapy.
No one went to the police and the abuse escalated. THAT is the main reason she broke off her relationship with Hunter. Among the pictures of Hunter having sex with young Asian children, there were hundreds of provocative pictures of a 14 year old girl, mainly topless, and hundreds more of Hunter Biden, in sexual poses with her, HIS NIECE. She was 14 years old and HE WAS 48!!
THE END.....but, is it? Nope. Rudy says there is more to come, primarily involving Joe Biden getting rich off laundering foreign money through our country, using his son as intermediary. Biden is as dirty and crooked as they come. Hillary looks clean compared to him. Now it makes sense why Obama REFUSED to endorse him as the DNC candidate until he was the last man standing!

Until we have laws and an AG that will put tech giants in prison for censoring conservative and anti-liberal thought - Congressional hearings will be nothing more than Kabuki theater. Congress is a paper-tiger when it comes to having people arrested for contempt or perjury. Think of the many times democrats have lied in past hearings. Hillary, Holder, Clapper, Lerner and many more ..... all gave false testimony and yet none have been prosecuted for perjury and/or contempt.
Until we see criminal politicians, bureaucrats and others, regardless of stature, put in prison or swinging from the gallows, our legal system will remain a farce.
Imagine how much more president Trump could have accomplished over the last 4 years if all republicans in the house and senate
had supported him instead of many (too many> siding with, or silently cheering on, the democrats and other AntiTrumpers.
