The General Service Administration (GSA) secretly gave President Donald Trump’s transition team records to then-special counsel Robert Mueller and the FBI in 2017, a report by two Senate committees says.
Meanwhile, the GSA refused to provide Trump’s transition team copies of its own records, according to the report.
GSA, the executive agency responsible for providing services to the transition teams of both Democrat and Republican candidates, had agreed to a memorandum of understanding with Trump’s transition team. According to the memorandum, the records would be regarded as the private property of the transition team and the GSA would not retain those records at the conclusion of the transition.--snip-- Go to link for whole story.

Return to the vision of the founders. Limit the scope of the federal government to the enumerated powers in the Constitution. All other functions should be turned back over to the states to determine if they are need or not. Goodbye to Departments of Labor, Commerce, Education, Transportation, HHS, HUD, Homeland Security, FBI, OSHA, EPA, Agriculture. Keep but downsize State, Defense, Justice and Treasury. Limit the federal government to defense, diplomatic relations with foreign governments, trade (customs/tarriffs), coining money, administering national lands (parks, forests). Privatize Amtrak, TVA, Postal Service, and rural electrification by selling stock in the marketplace and making them independent of the government, including independent of subsidies. Eliminate the Federal Reserve and go back to coining money of value. Dramatically downsize the bureaurcacy and return to the concept of a professional civil service as opposed to the current politicized civil service.

Starting the clock on November 4th, Trump will have 77 days to drain the swamp. After that it all goes back to business as usual.

Taking down GSA would largely cripple the remainder of fedgov; they supply everything from photocopy paper to construction of office buildings. Every leased building that the government uses is leased by GSA. Most of the federal motor pool fleet vehicles are likewise obtained through GSA. It is a massively powerful agency, due to the broad scope of its involvement in other agencies' business.
Some here may remember the Las Vegas scandal from early in Obama's first term - GSA blew over $800K on a "training seminar" there.
