NC early voting 1,206,995 Ds (40.82%) 879,222 Rs (29.74%) Democrat advantage of 327K in EV For the third straight day of early voting, Rs out-voted Ds in NC, this time by roughly 13,000 votes.
Rs LOST the early vote in 2016 by 310K but WON the state of NC by 3.8 points. Rs currently trail in early voting by roughly 327K, with 10 more days of EV to go. Monday is the key day, because traditionally on this Sunday "souls to the polls" is . in force. But with the China Virus lockdowns, it's questionable whether this will have the same effect this year. If not, the DemoKKKrats will have shot their early vote wad by Monday only leading their 2016 pace by a mere 17,000 votes . . . one day for Rs.
Currently black vote continues to fall, now to 20.55%. In 2016, when Zero won NC by a single point, he had over 23% of the black vote. So even allowing for blacks who are voting for Trump (say 12-15%), the black vote is already 3% down from the Zero high of 2012.

This can be misleading. Years ago I asked someone why so many people were registered as dimocrats in the NC county where I lived that looked like they would have better sense. I was told it was because of the local elections for sheriff in counties with large black populations. Why a sheriff position should be affiliated with a political party doesn’t seem right to me but that’s just the way it is. Before the ‘unaffiliated’ voter group, that can vote in either primary, was created people registered as dimocrats because the sheriff’s were always chosen in the primary. The sheriffs running had to run as dimocrats to get the black vote. I was told lots of these registered dimocrats voted republican in the general elections. There are still a lot of people, especially older voters, that don’t realize they don’t have to be dimocrats any longer in order to have a chance to vote for sheriffs. They simply don’t understand the ‘unaffiliated’ voter benefits.
Unenthusiastic votes count just as much as enthusiastic votes...enthusiasm definitely helps, but it doesn’t close the deal in of itself.
Biden has been a constant presence in people’s living rooms for many months now.
I have always been unaffiliated in NC and occasionally I have had to explain to poll workers that I can vote in any primary. They do record on the public record which primary you voted in.
This race is a contest of ho-hum likely voters and enthusiastic likely voters.

You have to realize that MANY registered democrats are voting Trump there are 450,000 #walkaway members alone!! No you can NOT reasonably assume those numbers you would be WRONG!! The media would have you THINK that is the way it is HOWEVER 25 - 30 % of those people at EVERY rally are Dems!!!

Lots and lots of those Dem voters, voted for Trump. Tyrrell said some Southern state may have 45% of black voters going for Trump.
I know what you mean. I had a poll worker tell me one time that whatever party I voted for in the primary, I had to vote the same in the general election. I knew better but another poll worker piped up to correct it.

One shocking fact I didn’t know: In 2016, in a Dem+9.3 NC election environment, Trump won by 3.66%
I didn't search for the 2016 data but it should be similar.
