Mid October is still peak fire season.
Merciful Maude.
Why, oh, why, do those folks in California seem to never learn.
FReepers in that state, my heart and mind really does go out to you and your families.
God always calls His children to repentance through suffering. And it appears Californians need a lot of calling.
Right???
What's that, you say? They have to be actually shut down when there are high winds?
And they don't store energy?
Never mind!
Regards,
As a kid watching TV i constantly dreamed of living in California.
I once dreamed of seeing the Pacific one day since i live around 20 miles from the Atlantic and would have loved to see the other side.
Now as a 53 yr old i plan on NEVER visiting that frigging state.
The farthest i have ever been to the Pacific Ocean has been Nevada on many of occasion.
So...my domestic options are now Oregon and Washington.
Guess i will never see the Pacific Ocean in my lifetime unless i use my Passport.
there is still Alaska though..
I was about to question your “store” remark.
Yea it can be done i suppose.
Pull out your checkbooks you California freaks..
No need to "get Biblical" on me, mowowie!
/humor
Actually, Californians might actually believe that wind turbines could be equipped with massive rubber bands (like on toy airplanes) so as to be able to "store" energy for later.
Regards,
Helps to know where Old Maude is located. :)
Mission County, California (the hoped-for breakaway county)

Then my dad got transferred to
(In the voice of Bill Murry in Gohstbuster II)
“Southern California beautiful San Fernando Valley”
2 parents and 4 kids.
I’m now the last one left.
Hopefully soon I can join
my brother back in Texas
or I’ll go to Arkansas.
I am half Arkansans(sp).
Subtle, ain’t they?
Can’t produce at all during low winds.
Can produce a little during medium winds, but you can’t tell how much they will produce.
Can’t produce at all during high winds.
Some are not Gods to begin with.
John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Hawaii didn’t make the list, huh? Damn.
Biden says we dont need these electric/gas companies anyway. Think coronavirus deaths are bad? Shut off our gas/oil and the death rate from starvation, freezing to death, sunstroke, exposure......
Why? The website you are posting to is from there, the Presidential Library of the most consequential President of the latter 20th Century is there, and multiple natural scenic wonders.
I wouldn't think of living there until they break the Democrat monopoly, but when I get back to the states, I'm not going to deprive myself of visiting California just because idiots are in office. I'll make an exception for San Francisco though, I get enough poop from walking my dog, and I'm not a masochist.
There are great places to visit. It’s a beautiful state. Just avoid SF and LA. The coast and the Sierras are beautiful.
I moved out of there in July. I’m glad I’m not living there, but I’m looking forward to visiting.
I grew up in Texas. Moved to California after college. I was a software engineer in the 80s. Met my husband and raised our kids there.
We moved to NW Arkansas in July.
I’m loving Arkansas!
Zero interest in Commiefornia. On the same list as North Korea, Venezuela, and Portland OR.
35 mph is a breeze here in N Nevada
Are shut down in cold weather because lubricating oils can gum them up & cause considerable damage.
