During Thursday's presidential debate, Donald Trump claimed that wind turbines kill "all the birds."
Wind turbines kill about 234,000 birds a year, whereas cats kill 2.4 billion.
North America may have lost nearly 3 billion birds, a quarter of its total bird population, since 1970.
During Thursday's final 2020 presidential debate, President Donald Trump repeated a claim he's made throughout his presidency: that wind turbines are extremely deadly to birds.
"I know more about wind than you do," Trump told former Vice President Joe Biden. "It's extremely expensive, kills all the birds, it's very intermittent, it's got a lot of problems."
Trump is wrong. Although wind turbines do kill some birds every year, they're not responsible for many avian deaths relative to other causes, and they certainly do not kill "all the birds."

Trump has “all” the angry journalists busy today!
This is BS.
Birds are chopped up in the thousands 24 hrs a day.
And protected birds are chopped up indiscriminately.
.
He always manages to get them to chase thier tails, a masterful move everytime Mr President
On November 4th, I hope he discusses how TDS can be cured by a simple bleach injection.
“Windmills are killing all the birds.....”
“..... every last one of them.”
These “journalists” are so incredibly pedantic. They strain at a gnat and swallow a camel, as the Son of God put it. And yet, they don’t even know what a “coyote” is. (Human trafficker, smuggling them north across the Mexican border.)

Last night, Trump asserted that wind power is "killing all the birds."
He is wrong. Cats kill all the birds. Not wind turbines.https://t.co/byOrHuZAqw— Susie 🧛🏻♀️ (@susieneilson) October 23, 2020
We fact check bird comments. But everyone is mum on Hitler.
Nice.
AMAZING, cats have been around for how many millions of years? Now how long have these hulking wind turbines been erected? Without the turbines, cats will still kill birds. Without cats, the turbines will still kill birds as well. Trump is just pointing the obvious FACT, turbines are the new factor and unnatural HAZARD to these avian populations! Sheesh!
Math challenged... 2.4 billion per year translates to 3 billion since 1970? Somebody misplaced a decimal point, somewhere.
They ought to know a little of the Queens vernacular by now. He did remind us that he is from Queens.
All the birds. Is not ALL the birds.
The windmill kills are completely avoidable. The turbines are largely useless for their stated purpose of energy production so every bird they kill is totally unnecessary.
“I’m Tippi Hedren, urging you to support the National Alliance for Wind Energy...”
Tell the idiot how can a cat kill a bird flying high in the sky.
Wind turbines kill about 234,000 birds a year, whereas cats kill 2.4 billion.

Really? And you know this how? Those cat kill numbers are totally speculative, and if you think they’re not, explain to us the scientific methodology used to confirm those numbers(specifics, please)!
birds also crash into buildings
