You are mistaken. Plenty do, and worse they have bought into the thinking that cases are the new deaths. That is, rising cases is the standard, not deaths or hositalizations.
It's now a casedemic, that's all they have. Ask yourself this: of all these celebrities and politicians and athletes who have tested positive (gasp! alert the media!): have any of them at all had any lasting consequences, much less died from this since August? I mean the people who are not in their 80s. This is why when they said the ACB announcement in the Rose Garden was a superspreader event my immediate response was 'all those old white politicians and bureauocrats are going to be just fine'. And they all were. But the media and dems (same thing) got more fear porn out of it, mission accomplished.
I went to EARLY vote yesterday, IN PERSON, and the LINES WERE LONG!....................
If Chris Christie did not die I really like my chances.
I am glad he recovered and am not being snarky, but he is a good benchmark.
Your point is spot on. We have tens of millions of very panicked and frightened people and the media (and DNC) is playing on their fears for political reasons. 99% of them have nothing to fear personally. All of us remain cautious with our parents/grandparents as we should.
It is an absolute fact that the elderly are most vulnerable. It is also an absolute fact that we have gotten much better at treating severe cases.
Knowledge should displace fear when it comes to Covid. The “lockdowns” are pure politics now and have been for some time.
