If he goes in for an interview, take a lawyer and something to record the interview! Later, have a court reporter transcribe the interview. My first thought as well, as I posted below. Here's what I would recommend for a recording device...
I have one. Got it on the kickstarter campaign. Works pretty good, even when in your front shirt pocket.

I honestly knew this. I would think there was evidence of Hunter’s communications with Bobulinski on the laptop that they had for a long time.
