Democratic nominee Joe Biden lied his way through the final presidential debate with President Donald Trump. NBC News correspondent Kristen Welker interrupted Trump more than she interrupted Biden, and Biden was the first person to interrupt a fellow candidate on the stage. Nevertheless, this debate proved far more civil than the first debate.
Trump cleaned Biden’s clock on a few issues, while Biden more frequently hoisted himself on his own petard. The president did a good job of standing back and letting Biden dig himself into a hole. When Trump called him out on previous statements Biden had made, the Democrat merely claimed he never made those statements.
Trump put the Democrat on the defensive even before the debate began by bringing Tony Bobulinski to the debate as his guest. Bobulinski is the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, a company he founded with CEFC China Energy and the Biden family. He came forward on Thursday to corroborate the damning emails discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Among other things, Bobulinski claimed that Joe Biden was personally involved in the nefarious business deals Hunter Biden and James Biden (the then-vice president’s brother) undertook in foreign countries like Ukraine and China.
“What he said was damning. Regardless of me, I think you have to clean it up and explain it to the American people,” Trump told Biden.
The Democrat responded by claiming, “I have not taken a single penny from any country whatsoever, ever.” He also attacked Trump over a bank account that paid the Chinese government nearly $200,000 in taxes between 2013 and 2015, before Trump was president.

Hunter Biden (and allegedly Joe Biden himself) raked in cash from China while his father was vice president and the Obama point person on China and without experience in the industries involved.
As for Trump, a Trump Organization lawyer said the company paid taxes to China after opening an office in the country to “explore the potential for hotel deals in Asia.” Not only was Trump a private citizen at the time, but he has experience in real estate.
Pure weasel words. He takes money funneled through state-connected corporations.
In fact, the deals Hunter Biden made in China strengthened China at America’s expense.
The movie exposes how Hunter Biden’s Bohai Harvest joined forces with the Chinese military contractor AVIC to buy American parts manufacturer Henniges, a dual-use technology company that produces technology that can be used for commercial and military purposes. Bohai Harvest also invested in a military surveillance company that the Chinese Communist Party later used in the detention of over one million Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang.
Bohai Harvest also helped China in its competition with the U.S. over rare earth minerals, teaming up with China Molybdenum to acquire more than half of Congo’s Tenke copper mine, one of the largest copper mines in the world. Hunter Biden’s company also became an anchor investor in China General Nuclear, a company mostly owned by the Chinese government. At the time, CGN was under FBI investigation for stealing U.S. nuclear secrets.
Hunter Biden did not just make money with Bohai Harvest, however. Biden’s son’s real estate firm, Rosemont Realty, got lucrative commercial real estate deals in China, even though Hunter had no background in commercial real estate. Gemini, a company with close ties to the Chinese military, bought a 75 percent stake in Rosemont Realty, paying $3 billion.
Does Joe Biden seriously maintain that Hunter Biden did not make a single penny out of all these deals? That his son sold out America’s interests for China again and again, and has nothing to show for it?
That’s even more absurd than blaming Trump for every single coronavirus death.

Biden, blatantly lied about his record on banning hydraulic fracturing, commonly known as “fracking.”
“I have never said I oppose fracking,” the Democrat insisted.
“You said it on tape,” Trump responded.
“Show the tape, put it on your website,” Biden said.
“I’ll put it on,” Trump said.
“The fact of the matter is he’s flat-out lying,” the Democrat insisted.
NBC News commentator Kristen Welker asked, “Would you rule out banning fracking?”
“I do rule out banning fracking,” Biden said. “What I will do with fracking over time is make sure we can capture the emissions from the fracking.”
Trump had to get the last word. “He was against fracking, he said it… until he got the nomination, went to Pennsylvania. But you know what, Pennsylvania, he’ll be against it very soon, because his party is totally against it.”
Biden attempted to claim that he only opposed fracking “on federal land.”
President Trump did not wait until Friday to post the video, however. He tweeted a video of both Biden and Harris promising to ban or “phase out” fracking and fossil fuels.

Amen. Never understood why repubs ever put up with how biased the whole process is.
Generally speaking if the liberal left had to compete on anything close to a level playing field I strongly suspect the democratic party as we know it would be a thing of the past.

All THEY saw, was Joe being attacked, but they heard not one lie being uttered by Joe. Trump, however, being the Bad Orange Man, they saw as a raging bull and in their estimation, a total hypocrite.

Here in New Mexico, Sleepy Joe’s words are a double whammy. It doesn’t matter how he defines fracking (”just on Federal lands”), it will kill oil and gas in New Mexico.
Most oil and gas in the state is located on federal land. In the oil shale rich counties in SE NM, the BLM (the Bureau of Land Management for easterners) controls mineral rights under the barren semi-arid surface mainly fit for cattle grazing. In NW NM, BLM manages minerals for both and Navajo and Apache Indians where natural gas reserves are extensive.
I don’t have the exact percentage of oil and gas lands that are under federal control, but it’s way in excess of 50-60 percent. So we take a big hit from a fracking ban no matter how Biden defines it.
For the past month those signs featured in my tag line are all over the NM oil patch.
My local radio station has NBC News for national news. All morning long, NBC has only fact checked (falsely) the President’s performance. I don’t expect anything else...but it still makes me nuts.
