Jill Biden was allowed to brush off The Post’s bombshell reporting on son Hunter Biden’s business dealings as “smears” and “distractions” in a softball interview on “The View” — even as evidence mounted that her husband, Democratic nominee Joe Biden, was heavily involved.
In an interview on the ABC daytime talk show on Wednesday, the former second lady did not deny the allegations that her scandal-scarred stepson tried to leverage his family connections to land lucrative deals with overseas executives.
But she also insisted the American people didn’t care about the Biden family’s murky deals with energy companies in Ukraine and China while her husband was serving in President Barack Obama’s White House.
“You know, as a mother, I don’t like to see my son attacked and certainly I don’t like to see my husband attacked,” she said.
“I mean, this election is not about Joe Biden or Jill Biden or Kamala or Doug. It is about the American people. The American people don’t want to hear these smears against my family,” she claimed.
“The American people are struggling right now. They’re in the midst of all this chaos. They’re trying to figure out how to put food on the table. They don’t have jobs. They need health care. Americans don’t want to hear this.”

Hey, Jill! If you really loved your husband you’d throw in the towel for him, because he is feeble and getting worse. A loving spouse would not allow his or her spouse to suffer like he is suffering, and will suffer. A loving spouse would demand that he or she be left alone, and let him or her enjoy their sunset years in peace.
Hunter is a disaster. I understand he's an adult, and has been in and out of rehab, and he is what he is. This is not an easy thing to kick, and money doesn't solve everything. But with $15MM of net worth, clearly there should be SOMETHING that can be done.
His brother, Beau, died of brain cancer but it was allegedly in remission.
Joe has been sliding into dementia for quite some time.
In the midst of this tornado of carnage and human wreckage, there is only one person of sound mind and body. And she seems all-too willing to let this slow-mo train wreck happen.
