The pressure is building for NBC News Kristen Welker to address the ongoing scandal surrounding a laptop purportedly belonging to Hunter Biden during Thursday nights final presidential debate as the mainstream media has essentially dismissed the story.
"This is a moment of truth for Kristen Welker and NBC News, in which they are caught between doing their job or protecting Joe Biden, Cornell Law School professor and media critic William A. Jacobson told Fox News.
The laptop, which was first reported by the New York Post, is reported to contain emails suggesting Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden had knowledge of, and was allegedly involved in, his sons foreign business dealings.
But the media has bent over backward to avoid the scandal, with Twitter and Facebook each coming under fire for censoring the Post bombshell and NPR even dismissed it as a waste of time.
The former vice president has snapped at the few reporters who dared to ask him about the scandal and CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and MSNBC have all taken heat for their lack of coverage. But millions of voters will be tuned in Thursday as Welker moderates the final presidential debate in Nashville, giving her a chance to force the issue with Biden.
To avoid or downplay the Biden family influence-peddling scandal would both create additional claims of media bias and eliminate Welker as a serious journalist," Jacobson added.

if Biden did these deals in 2017 as an ex-office holder, is that still illegal? (Obviously it is disgusting, and unpatriotic, and sick to lie about, all of that...).
Of course, some of them likely date to when he was VP and that’s a different story.
I’m just not curious what time restrictions and other laws would attach to former office holders with regards to ownership in foreign / Chinese companies.
The only reason the so-called “news” media hacks will “address” the issue will be in order to minimize it.
Deal started in 2013 when he was VP.
I never thought of her as a “serious journalist.”
Rock...meet hard place.
Yes it weill.
yah big difference....I can’t name the law, but, pretty sure a sitting VP can’t take an equity position in a (state owned) foreign company....minimally, would violate disclosure laws.
but sounds more like straight up, old fashioned, unvarnished bribery
"Vice President Biden sir. The Trump campaign has mentioned an obviously fake and possibly illegally obtained computer, with fake emails and photos that were certainly planted by Russian Intelligence to make your son Hunter look bad. Would you like to take a moment and discuss how disappointed you are that President Trump would stoop to such a level as to make false accusations against your honorable son Hunter?"
NBC and Welker are not interested in the truth, just in the promotion of Demonicrat lies, deceit, and treason.
“President Trump — will you now disavow the baseless attacks on Hunter Biden?”
“Okay. We’ve certainly spent enough time on that. Vice President Biden — aside from ice cream, what other desserts do you enjoy?”
I hope you’re right.
She’s never been a serious journalist. She’s a Marxist hack. In 2016, she was caught given Hillary a debate question. Their is nothing neutral about her. I seriously doubt that even if she is forced to ask Corrupt Joe a question on his connection with his family selling access to him, she won’t follow up when Joe denies.
She wont say a word, and IF she does it will be something like “Mr Biden, would you like to comment on these bogus claims about a Russian disinformation campaign using a sorted laptop that was presented by Rudy Guiliani, a pervert”
... and eliminate Welker as a serious journalist,
She doesnt want to be a serious journalist, she wants to be a high-priced whore.
Fake News is keeping a total lid on this for debate today. I expect a few CYA stories tomorrow.
