The pandemic is accelerating as the United States climbs the third peak of Covid-19 infections that public health experts have been warning about, the latest NBC News analysis revealed Wednesday.
In the last two weeks, the 781,142 confirmed cases of coronavirus reported nationwide was an 18.5 percent jump over the previous two weeks, the figures showed.
And in four of the last seven days there were more than 60,000 cases reported -- something that has not happened since the end of July.

ABC is Disney
Disney despises what we stand for. Disney wants Biden. Disney is corrupt.
It is flu season.
Testing has gone up, up, up.
Positives go up.
Duh.
But there’s more.
Deaths not up means these recent positives have developed immunity.
Sweden did like New York and sent COVID-19 patients to nursing homes.
The vulnerable are already dead.
It’s fake news from fake made up figures.
So how come figures are going up in New York but the have totally fallen in Sweden then?
Combination of more tests and fake figures from blue states cities and counties for political purposes.
>So how come figures are going up in New York but the have totally fallen in Sweden then?
I’ve seen your nic around. I would have expected you to check the data before posting nonsense.
Since Sep 1, Sweden daily cases are up 5X in the second wave (170 to 823).
New York cases have doubled in the same period (700 to 1500).
Deaths are almost flat in both, in single digits until recently in New York, now 10-20 with a few worse days. And Sweden just had its worst day since July 28 with 6 deaths.

I check these before saying anything.
They may be lies or damn lies but they are what they are and neither of us have our own independent information.
For the flu, pneumonia is a secondary, opportunistic infection. For CCP-19, pneumonia is a direct symptom. So your argument falls apart right there.
Testing is holding at a pretty steady 800,000 or so per day, and positivity is down from the early days (meaning that testing is gaining ground on the cases), however, positives have increased of late (meaning the disease is spreading faster than it was). Our testing capacity is not exhausted, so they can ramp it up if they need to, and if the disease is spreading faster again, they will need to.
And, no, the CDC lumps flu and pneumonia deaths together, even though the pneumonia is an opportunistic secondary infection and does most of the killing. Flu just softens you up, like CCP-19.
Only 3.25% of flu deaths are “just” the flu. An average of 1350 out of an average of 36,000 flu+ILI deaths, annually. These are multiple year averages, not some cherry-picked once-ever stat like you have a tendency to use, when you aren’t just making stuff up out of whole cloth.
Most of your post is false - some of it deliberately so, as you have had the facts pointed out to you before. You should really stop.
>Deaths not up means these recent positives have developed immunity.
Deaths go up 2-4 weeks after cases. Several Euro countries are back to dying at rates higher than the US for the time being because their second wave started earlier.
Immunity is kind of a 2-stage thing. You can be immune to dying from it and you can be immune to catching it. When the people who died from it are dead, that doesn’t make anyone else more immune. The disease can only kill them once.
Cherry picking data to advance a “beat Trump in November “ agenda is nothing new.
Fauci has been doing it for over 6 months.
cases are merely alleged positive test results. probably millions more have been exposed to the virus, so -
stop testing until after the election.
When those statistic become available, I’m sure there will be topics for them.
Why Sep rather than Oct? Short term trends are generally analyzed between inflection points on the curve.
I’m not cherry-picking data or advocating courses of action, but I think you are.
I’m just stating facts and correcting misconceptions and misinformation.
And what is a “confirmed case”? Is it new? Is it antibody test or the other? Is the definition and formula for determining the value the same across all states. I honestly doubt it. I think hospitalizations and death are the only numbers even semi reliable IF they would report honestly (which they arent).
