Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden responded to Sen. Ron Johnson's (R-Wis.) claim that his son Hunter Biden had profited off of their family name, saying the GOP senator should be "ashamed."
Biden in an interview with WISN 12 News accused Johnson of launching a "last-ditch effort" to smear his family before the election, saying there was no legitimacy "whatsoever" to Johnson's claim.
“It's the last-ditch effort in this desperate campaign to smear me and my family," Biden said, comparing it to efforts by Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani to dig up dirt on the former vice president.
Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, is one of two GOP chairmen who released a controversial report in September focusing on the younger Biden's business ties.
The senator criticized Biden during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday night, saying, "Hunter Biden, together with other Biden family members, profited off the Biden name."
“What we revealed in our 87-page report is a vast web of connections with Chinese nationals, with people all over the world. Again, trading on the Biden name,” Johnson said.
He further blasted the media for “suppressing the information, which is a scandal in and of itself.”
Biden pushed back on those remarks, noting that Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) had previously criticized the GOP probe into Biden’s son for appearing political.
“Even the man who served with him on that committee, the former nominee for the Republican Party, said, ‘there's no basis to this,’ ” Biden said. “And you know and all and the vast majority of the intelligence people have come out and said there's no basis at all. Ron should be ashamed of himself.”

There are videos and photos on that laptop with Hunter with a 14 yr old girl, apparently a member of the Biden family..doing the math, would make sense that its Beau Biden’s daughter
Confuse Joe! Go with the “When did you stop beating your wife?” approach. The question should be: “What did you do when you found out Hunter was abusing your grand daughter?!”

This is a pattern of behavior, by the way. There is an older interview with Tom Brokaw where he grills Biden on prior similar conduct.
It cleared the Bidens of nothing - quite the opposite.
I wish that someone would ask Biden the obvious question: how did he become a multi-millionaire with three palatial houses on only the salary of a U.S. senator?

Yes. There is a MULTITUDE of things wrong with this whole situation. From the child porn and/or child rape allegations, Joe lying about whether he knew about any of it, ever met the people, traveled in relation to meetings. The comments about Hunter saying he had to split all the money with his father, Joe’s creepy child molestation history, Ukraine prosecutor.... the list goes on and on. It is incomprehensible that the media would so fully conspire to cover all of this up, for the goal of defeating POTUS.
What’s Joe whining about? He got his share of the take.
We’re dealing with the guy who has announced that Donald Trump did literally nothing to combat the coronavirus.
Also in the same debate he declared that he knows nothing about hunters businesses and that all of hunters businesses were legitimate.

There is so much coming out. As I understand it hunter not only admitted to inappropriate behaviour with minors, he admitted it in texts directly to his father, Joe Biden.
Can anyone please provide a link to news on this Republican report? In the last week, I have heard it dredged up twice by Biden’s camp to supposedly “prove” the innocence of Joe.
