There was no need for “something to happen” to trigger his actions.
He’s a leftist.
By definition, no twitch control, no self discipline and utterly and degenerate. An individual belonging to a mindset that revels in depravity.
He did what he did because he could and he wanted to. And it probably shocked him that others disapproved.
And no, he didn’t “accidentally” think mute and vid screen was off. He’s been using that comms package and others like it since at least the beginning of this “lock down”.
He knew what he was doing.
