Supporters of Joe Biden's campaign have made much of a letter signed by 50 former intelligence officials declaring that the Hunter Biden email story "has all the classic earmarks of a Russian disinformation operation."
However, the signatories, including former Obama officials who peddled the now-debunked Trump-Russia collusion claim, admit they don't know whether or not the emails initially reported by the New York Post are authentic, and they have no evidence of Russian involvement.
They base their case, instead, on four disputable points: that the Russians want Trump to win, it's consisent with the Russian tactic of hacking emails, the Russians hacked Burisma emails last year, and the Washington Post reports U.S. intelligence agencies warned the White House last year that Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani was the target of an influence operation by Russian intelligence."
Some critics of the Hunter Biden story have argued that if true, it's only about the Democratic nominee's beleagured son. But the emails indicate Joe Biden was selling U.S. foreign policy through his son and keeping a cut of the profits.

NEW: Law enforcement source tells @CBSNews FBI + DOJ concur with @dni_ratcliffe laptop + emails, said to belong to Hunter Biden, were not part of Russian disinformation campaign + FBI has laptop. Separate reporting suggests could be part of foreign influence op @ClareHymes22
They are FORMER intelligence officers so how could they know. DAA!
If they have security clearances, they should now be revoked.
There is ZERO evidence of Russias involvement in the Biden laptop scandal.
But for those true believers, I got a bridge I can sell them...cheap...in Brooklyn.
Heres how Russian meddling in US politics would evolve:
<><> Russians plant damaging information in the laptop; with homemade videos of photoshopped Hunter having sex and using drugs
<><> also planted are about 40,000 detailed emails invented by some guy in Siberia,
<><> Ruskis have the laptop delivered to some obscure guy in a nondescript Delaware computer repair shop;
<><> Russians KNOW that after 90-days the guy will decide to look at the contents.
<><> Russians are POSITIVELY SURE the computer repair guy will contact the FBI,
<><> the FBI weighs in, receives the original hard drive, and in the end ignores it all, preferring to fill out pension forms.
<><> the Russians KNOW a copy of the hard drive will go to Giulianis office,
<><> Giuliani is fooled into examining the contents and dupes the NY Post into publishing it.
<><> Cong Schiff declares the laptop to be a Russian hoax.
So there you have it.....as the Bard said....alls well that ends well.
Evidence? We don’t need no stinking evidence!
Yeah, guess they still have peeps/moles in place. When I retired, my clearances ended THAT DAY.
Did they happen to mention how the Russians might have gotten pictures of Joe Biden’s granddaughter in “compromising” situations? Or are they going to say “Photoshop”?
Well, seems hollyweird is in their camp, maybe CGI did their magic?
Brennan and Klapper took the wrong approach. As they say if you are in for a penny, you are in for a pound. Those two guys are facing prison time if a second Trump term gets its act together and prosecutes the Russia hoax conspirators. Might as well tell the bold lie that dopey people will want to accept. What Brennan and Klapper should have stated is that “Its just possible that former Naval officer Hunter Biden was a deep undercover intelligence agent posing as the corrupt son of the Vice President. He collected much valuable intelligence regarding Russia, China and the Ukraine. The stress was too much for him and he succumbed to drugs and illegal pornography.Nevertheless his accomplishments are much admired within the intelligence community” That narrative would be instantly propagated by the MSM and believed by the dumb and gullible. It just might have saved the Biden candidacy and saved the Russia hoax plotters from prison.
Let's unpack this one statement.
Supporters of Joe Biden's campaign have made much of a letter signed by 50....
Logical fallacy: Bandwagon fallacy. 50 people! So many! it must be true!
... former intelligence officials ...
Logical fallacy: Appeal to Authority. Intelligence officials? Who knows more than them? Nobody!
... declaring that the Hunter Biden email story "has all the classic earmarks of a Russian disinformation operation."
Logical fallacy: The hasty generalization fallacy. They read about this and thought tt has the earmarks of something bad! Case closed!
This is the democrats argument. That a bunch of people who don't know anything said something. This is what they do, and fortunately for them they've dumbed down the schools enough that people can't think critically and see their BS for what it is.
Of course you don’t know. Being presently irrelevant, you have no access to anything important
ONLY if he admits he has a problem and seeks counseling and enters rehab. LOL! Probably Dr. Drew’s place.
Who would believe these guys anymore?
This is the Rachel Maddow crowd. They told people for years that Trump was a Russian agent and he would leave office in handcuffs.
They have very little credibility outside of the die-hard partisans. Trump has done more than any person in history to destroy the credibility of the media and the deep state is marching right behind.
Wrong about everything.
Hey, I’ve been irrelevant longer than you have.
50 Idiots
Follow the money. This is deflection. All the accusations about Russia, Russia were only made to cover for China.
None of these vultures want anyone looking into the China influence in Washington and across the country.
Translation: “We really have no idea”.
