A little-known Democratic super PAC backed by some of Silicon Valleys biggest donors is quietly unleashing a torrent of television spending in the final weeks of the presidential campaign in a last-minute attempt to oust President Donald Trump, Recode has learned.
The barrage of late money which includes at least $22 million from Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz figures among one of the most expensive and aggressive plays yet by tech billionaires, who have spent years studying how to maximize the return they get from each additional dollar they spend on politics. Moskovitz is placing his single biggest public bet yet on the evidence that TV ads that come just before Election Day are the best way to do that.
The super PAC, called Future Forward, has remained under the radar but is spending more than $100 million on television in the final month of the campaign more than any other group on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden outside of the Biden campaign itself. And it has been leading a separate, previously unreported $28 million proposed campaign to elect a Democrat to the US Senate from Texas, Recode has learned.
Future Forwards size and strategy is now moving more into the public view. It plans to report to the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday that it raised $66 million in just the 45 days between September 1 and October 15 a haul powered by Silicon Valley billionaires like Twilio founder Jeff Lawson, longtime Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and Moskovitz, who has been one of the most enigmatic Democratic megadonors of the Trump era.

All they will accomplish is to drive me to the DVD bin as I can’t stand to sit through any more of their lies.
Cant comprehend why millionaires and billionaires would want Biden anyway.
Doesnt he claim hell soak the rich, tax the heck out of anyone over 400K?
Are these rich guys stupid, or is Bidens plan total BS?
Dont tell me, I think I know...
I am constantly seeing Amy McGrath commercials on Youtube. I live in KY. No amount of those ads are going to convince me to vote for her. She’s getting desperate, though. Mentioning her religion, and that her husband is a Republican, etc.
Boomers need to just drop Internet and TV shit. Step back 40 years. Unplug from big data-monitored crap.
Call and talk with friends. Visit and go places together with friends. Play cards, go bowling and have dinners with friends. Read, do hobbies, learn a musical instrument or another language. Fish, hike, camp, hunt, golf, shoot.
Do anything other than a video screen.
FR is an exception.
It’s Cal Cunningham on YouTube for me. Gag.
Do ANY Americans outside of geezers (I am 53) watch ads?
That’s a great point. They’d probably be better off spending on senate races. If they took the senate trumps agenda would die on the vine. Luckily these tech billionaires aren’t really that smart.
Let them spend money. The value is not there but it makes them feel like they are doing something with the true collusion. The undecided is very few. Maybe they will shed fidiot one issue morons.
Silicon Valley mega donors are ALL bribed and/or blackmailed by their Communist China overlords. The sweet deals they have gotten by shipping technology manufacturing to slave labor (or near slave labor) factories in China make them puppets on strings. They are terrified their cushy lives will come crumbling down when Trump bring manufacturing back here. They are terrified that the compromising photos of them will be unleashed if they don’t drag Biden across the finish line.
They all disgust me! Traitors for $$$ while they pretend to support “progressivism” AKA a mafia/gang setup where a small group of elites get rich at the expense of bleeding the common folk dry and turning them into slaves.
I think these are the guys that paid for an ad I saw on F&F this morning during President Trump’s call-in. A bunch of physicians lying about how Trump failed with COVID19 response.
Depends on whether your friends, relatives, or business subsidiaries own any of the advertising companies. :)
I don’t recall the exact amount but I think it was in the neighbourhood of 800 million. Not a shoestring in my book but to each his own. It was less than H of course who went over the billion mark.
Why? I thougth Biden was up by 12 points
