Wal-Mart recently discontinued locking only the Black hair care products in their cosmetics section.
My younger brother worked for Home Depot years ago. He told me that he was called into 'the office' and informed that he was catching to many people stealing. They told him that they already knew how much was being stolen and that the cost of those losses were already included in the prices of the products on the shelves.
They told him, let them have it.
This was to be expected, after the riots in which democrats allowed the rioters to steal, destroy, rape and kill.

Because the “No charges for shoplifting below $950 in merchandise” and “Even if we do arrest them we will let them go” laws are appearing in other jurisdictions. The shop-looting is starting there too. It’s not limited to SF any more.

The same thing with Sears: They had the catalogue thing going on for 100 years, but rather than expanding and exploiting their advantage, they stepped back from that model, tried to go upscale, and died. All they needed to do was develop a simple website, and they would be bigger than Amazon and Wally World combined/

Private guards won’t work when they are unable to enforce penalties on shoplifters sufficient to deter shoplifting.
There is no solution as long as Leftists run the city and state.
You can even poop in the grocery store while you pick up a few food items.
