He kind of got kicked out the Trump White House with bad feelings, right?
But now he’s back on the scene and seems to have a fairly big role with the big October Surprise.
Was this all a stealth attack by Trump and Bannon?
They had to move Bannon out of the WH.

It was a coordinated stealth attack by Trump and Bannon. Bannon has been working behind the scenes with the anti Xi Chinese dissidents who gave the hard drives to him.
Bannon needs to shut up and let the evidence do the talking. The more gum flapping he does the more Fake News will make him the story.

Bannon made some serious mistakes in his first few months in the White House circle. Trump does not accept failure. You screw up, even if you mean well, you are OUT.
However, Bannon is still a Trump loyalist, and I am certain they still are personal friends.

That was speculated back when it happened.
Could be they disagreed on tactics and parted ways in public, then Bannon decided to prove he was right and went his own way. He is a Trumper and he is also focused on ending the CCP. His alliance with Miles Guo is fascinating.
I’d guess: multitasking.
Trump has no love for Bannon after the interview he gave that led Trump to fire him, but especially for the book where Bannon attacked the entire Trump family. He also was the main person whose testimony was responsible for Roger Stone going down in his trial, after changing what he testified to in Congress.
Just before this all laptop story came out, someone asked Trump in an interview about the impending embezzlement charges against Bannon, which could send him to jail for years. All Trump said was something like ~"Sounds like he did some terrible things."
So my opinion is this is Bannon trying to regain some positive attention from Trump, maybe even a pardon. Will it work, we'll see, but again in my opinion this drip drip drip process they're using is designed to bring more positive attention to Bannon and Rudy, than dropping the full A-Bomb on Biden right now today.
