With cases surging to new highs and hospital capacity running low, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum teared up describing a state caught in the middle of a covid storm.
To weather it, he said at a news conference last week, people would need to keep their distance, wear masks and avoid gatherings. But the one thing North Dakota did not need were legal limits on reckless behavior.
Its not a job for government, Burgum (R) declared.
The novel coronavirus is hammering Americas heartland this fall, with records shattered daily in states that had escaped the worst of the disease this spring and summer. Case numbers also are rising again in other states where the virus was thought to be under control after months of widespread illness.
Yet even as health authorities in small cities and rural towns plead for help in tamping down deadly outbreaks, many Republican governors are resisting new measures to stop the spread. Some are even loosening rules already on the books.

I am aged and have COPD.. and I am not fearfully hiding in my basement ..
Yes.
My daughter and I had it in November, right before Thanksgiving. I know it was but nobody could tell us what it was

The cure is now vastly, unimaginably worse than the disease

Two weeks ago two new figures were revealed for San Diego County Here’s the first
Rady’s children’s hospital One of the most renowned children hospital in the world Reported that they have seen an 80% increase year-over-year in emergency room child abuse cases.
The San Diego police department along with the sheriff’s department released a study that showed an over 800% increase in child online sexual predator activity year over year.
Now occasionally when someone asks me why I do not have a “mask on” I simply tell them it’s for the children!!
Biggest hoax ever perpetuated on mankind.
Fantastic new headline............
So convenient how there is suddenly a rise a few weeks before the election.
Gee, it's almost as if the country that hates Donald Trump the most, the political party that hates Donald Trump the most, and the media that hates Donald Trump the most ... Colluded.
“hospitalizations have more than doubled”
doubled from what to what?
“Deaths are up also”
how many?
“ventilator use has increased”
from what to what?
here’s some actual Colorado data; doesn’t look to me like any reason to panic, well, unless one is a moron leftist who only gets their propaganda from CNN, MSNBC, NBC, NPR, WaPo or NYT :

Yes to all of the above.
I was born in GA.. at one point I was receiving numbers for nc, sc & ga. The number ga reported were much much higher in the beginning, including the death rates. Couldnt really drill down into it. The numbers for ga dropped dramatically a few weeks ago.. and continue to be much lower than the masked states all around them.
unfortunately, in the first months of it, when ga was hit hard, the treatment appeared to be the death knell.
This is like the Sweden experiment. In the end, I imagine few will escape it, as it was designed to be a weapon.
It worked. America cowers in fear, even now..We surrendered without a single bullet fired. praying for a magic cure. Its an RNA virus, so Change is in its basic design, so a vax wont work.
Neither did testing a blue million people.
In the end it looks like we will all be touched by this weapon, designed in China, imported by Chinese airline passengers.
Democrat concern trolls please go away.
I know 19 people who have tested positive. They range from not knowing they had it, to having very minor and short term symptoms, to having flu for a couple of days, to one heavier 57 year old diabetic being hospitalized for a couple of days and receiving supplemental oxygen (not intubation). We live in SD, go to work everyday, our kids are in school, we have sports, dine in restaurants, and go to church. Probably 200 at the service I attended this morning. It is real. It affects people differently. Im not in a big risk group, not overly concerned about it and live my life.
