With cases surging to new highs and hospital capacity running low, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum teared up describing a state “caught in the middle of a covid storm.”
To weather it, he said at a news conference last week, people would need to keep their distance, wear masks and avoid gatherings. But the one thing North Dakota did not need were legal limits on reckless behavior.
“It’s not a job for government,” Burgum (R) declared.
The novel coronavirus is hammering America’s heartland this fall, with records shattered daily in states that had escaped the worst of the disease this spring and summer. Case numbers also are rising again in other states where the virus was thought to be under control after months of widespread illness.
Yet even as health authorities in small cities and rural towns plead for help in tamping down deadly outbreaks, many Republican governors are resisting new measures to stop the spread. Some are even loosening rules already on the books.

I firmly believe the testing is BOGUS, this is being proven in the NFL players are tested damn near everyday they are positive one day and negative the next hospitalizations and deaths are not going up at all! It is time to get back to life!!

I’ve kept a log of daily deaths reported by Johns Hopkins. The lowest weekly average I’ve recorded was about 3 weeks ago of 667. This week is 712. There has been a rise but nothing like the scare mongers in the media want to you believe. Tests which are false positives, which are alarmingly high, are never subtracted from the positive cases recorded by Johns Hopkins.

It remains a mystery to me… Why are we allowing this to happen! I ask all of you to help me understand this… Here is the simple number…
The United States of America has approximately 330 million people.
As of this date, there have been approximately 230,000 deaths having to do with anything COVID-19 related.
The CDC says that only approximately 7% of these people who unfortunately died… Actually died “FROM” COVID-19. The remainder of the people who have died have died “WITH” COVID-19.
Be that what it may… Let’s just do the numbers.
Let’s divide 230,000 by 330,000,000… Let’s do it together.
Unless I have a calculator that does not work properly… The answer to that division problem is
00.00069

I don’t hide under my bed, I run a farm and take care of my elderly father in law and my husband runs a business which has never shut down and employs over 100 people. My son does contract work at one of the biggest hospitals in Atlanta.
I’m not sure what your point is? You can have a healthy respect for this virus and not be cowering under the bed. Everything is not black and white.
You probably know quite a few people who had it with very mild or no symptoms. Maybe even YOU!!
