Ossoff had a LOT more money thrown at him in a special election that he lost. He has done nothing at age 33 to warrant seeking a promotion to Senate when he couldn’t even win a House seat.
Another Democrat, Lucy McBath, took the seat in the regular election the following year (2018, by 1%), so the seat was winnable. Ossoff is just not a great candidate. Perdue is safe.
If she had an American name, this wouldn’t be a problem.
