Kristen Welker, upcoming presidential debate moderator, has deep Democrat ties

All eyes are turning to NBC News White House correspondent Kristen Welker as she prepares to host the third and final presidential debate Thursday.

President Trump and Joe Biden will square off at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., in a 90-minute debate starting at 9 p.m.

Welker, 44, has been the White House correspondent at NBC News since 2011, after working as a news reporter in Rhode Island.

Welker comes from an established Democratic family — who have poured cash into party coffers, and to Trump opponents, for years.

Her mother, Julie Welker, a prominent real estate broker in Philadelphia, and father, Harvey Welker, a consulting engineer, have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates and close to $20,000 to Barack Obama alone.

There was also $3,300 for Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign and $2,100 for Hillary Clinton’s doomed 2016 presidential effort against Trump. Another $7,300 was contributed to the Democratic National Committee between 2004 and 2020.

In 2012, Welker and her family celebrated Christmas at the White House with the Obamas.

Welker deleted her Twitter account last week, heading off a more complete look at her past statements and views. It was later restored.

“Anyone who’s ever dealt with Welker knows she’s an activist, not a reporter. The White House press team views her the same way they would AOC or Pelosi if they walked in the office,” a senior White House official told The Post.

In addition, the questions should be randomly-generated from a list of pre-written questions that the Republicans draft for their opponent and the Democrats draft for their opponent. And some would be general questions for both candidates.

The questions could be read via “text-to-speech” by a computer voice. So no moderator. No facial expressions by a computer moderator.

“Fed up with these totally biased “moderators”. Trump should demand changes or walk out and spend the day doing rallies.”

Yup, I would just tell them to GFT. Why put up with this BS?

You guys are sounding like RINOs.

Trump HAD to interrupt Biden because there were so many dishonest exaggerations and outright lies in every 2 minute Biden segment.

It’s impossible to remember all of the lies and it takes time to address each. So Trump had to defy rules and be like a pit bull on the attack.

There’s no other way to deal with liars.

Debate rules to enforce civility are designed for CIVIL debate!! But if one candidate lies repeatedly and makes underhanded insinuations (Biden), they are the first to break down the rules of Civility - not the interrupter (Trump in this case).

The media twists this to appear as if Trump is the uncivil one, but that wasn’t the case.

Shut up man! LOL! Teasing of course. We know going in “they” will shield traitor joe at every turn. So I get why PDJT jumps in. Then again, if you’re undecided at this point and are hoping the debate will provide clarity, well ya should stay home.

I hope Trump brings up every single one of the links in the “debate”

Bingo!!!

Prime Example, the farce ‘town hall’ with Savannah Guthrie.
PDJT is in enemy territory. One against the Spanish Inquisition in these televised attacks. Hence, he must act accordingly to ensure the Truth is heard.

Why did this happen? Trump, understandably, WANTED the debate with Bumbles Biden. The Dems did not. BUT could be persuaded with enough sweeteners, (like Openly hostile moderators). Trump thought he could handle that. Maybe he still thinks he can handle that.

Maybe he CAN handle that.
We shall see.

President Trump can well handle debating hostile ‘moderators’ that are not ‘disabled in memory’. So I would say a big yes in being able to debate biden.

You have no reason to insult me. Tell me when was the last time a RINO said a candidate should go into a debate making it clear he's all out of bubblegum. If you don't know the reference, look it up. RINOs don't talk like that.

There's a difference between hand wringing over the President interrupting Biden which I certainly haven't been doing and saying that he shouldn't interrupt Biden because it keeps Plugs from digging the holes he's so adept at doing. My further point, which is why I specifically referred to the town hall, is that this President is great at engaging people and making his case, and that should be his focus. I think the President and his advisors minus that buffoon Chris Christie can find a way to go back at Biden's lies but keep Biden talking because, again, Plugs exposes himself the more he talks.

I see your point and wasn’t trying to insult.

However, I think it’s too simplistic to say that Trump should just sit back [and not interrupt] and let Biden make his own blunders.

In a debate environment when Biden is lying multiple times in his 2 minute segment, if those lies aren’t corrected right away by a “rude” interruption by Trump, they will be taken as fact by people who aren’t as smart as you are.

People long for the civility of the days of Ronald Reagan (and I do too), but those days are gone.

American politics hereafter will be a continual street-fight. That’s why we need conservatives who are political pitbulls to fight for the cause of liberty (individual rights) vs. fascism/socialism (collective rights)
