A New York tabloid’s puzzling account about how it acquired emails purportedly from Joe Biden’s son has raised some red flags. One of the biggest involves the source of the emails: Rudy Giuliani.
Giuliani has traveled abroad looking for dirt on the Bidens, developing relationships with shadowy figures, including a Ukrainian lawmaker who U.S. officials have described as a Russian agent and part of a broader Russian effort to denigrate the Democratic presidential nominee.
Yet Giuliani says foreign sources didn’t provide the Hunter Biden emails. He says a laptop containing the emails and intimate photos was simply abandoned in a Delaware repair shop and the shop owner reached out to Giuliani’s lawyer.
Frustration about Giuliani in the West Wing has long run rampant, with those around the president warily watching Giuliani’s efforts to bring down the Bidens and fearful they could boomerang back on the president.
Giuliani was central to advancing a discredited theory that Ukraine, not Russia, had interfered in the 2016 election. His shadowy efforts to get Ukraine to launch investigations into the Bidens helped create the impeachment case against Trump.
Some around Trump fear that the case being made against the younger Biden has been weakened because Giuliani has become its face.
The Trump campaign has been pushing allegations of corruption against the Bidens for more than a year, with the president advancing the widely discredited theory that the vice president sought to force out Ukraine’s top prosecutor to protect his son from scrutiny. Though Trump associates believe a case can be made that Hunter enriched himself by selling access to his father, they fear that Giuliani’s lack of credibility will cause the allegations to implode.

Discredited by whom? As far as I know all the actual evidence shows this is exactly what happened. Spins and suppression by the media and the Deep State are not the same as being discredited. Biden even bragged about doing so.

I’ve stated before that I think it would be wise to be cautious about such a “gift” falling into our laps for fear it could be a set up and a big “gotcha” on Trump. I think much of the information is original and correct. I just believe there false information may have been included to discredit the whole thing. But the risk is not from Giuliani but from the usual suspects.
I also have to wonder why the FBI has held onto the information for this long. Is it so they could plant false information? We know the higher ups have shown a willingness to destroy the president.

True indeed. Everything needs to be authenticated. Early indications at moment point towards that they are going in that direction of being authentic. But as part of the process, like the Russian hoax, Biden should be asked daily about this to “help” the process to get to the truth. The press won’t apply the Russian hoax reporting standard to Biden’s issue.
The gift horse right is now, don’t bet for a minute that if the tables were turned, how the demonkkkraps would play it. The kkkraps and their media wing is circling the wagons. Pay attention to what they are not saying.
Not like Rudy did not have any experience in prosecuting criminals at the federal level. Or seeing up close how corrupt the Wray FBI remains.
There’s a legal path and a political one. If the FBI has been sitting on this since December, what would one expect Guliani to do? Other than people around here, no one was concerned about Lynch and BJClinton’s secret meeting in AZ after his 110 F golf outing and the subsequent quick resolution of HRC’s FBI email problem.
Nothing is ever clean in politics, it’s like watching sausages being made. I’ll stick with Rudy here, no matter how messy - to give serious consideration to any demonkkkrap protestation after what they did to Trump deserves no consideration. We are in a war.

In this case, it doesn't matter what the press SAYS about it. The allegation has broken through the wall of censorship and is now spreading out into the public at large.
Hecklers at future Biden events should hold up a wad of bills (monopoly money will work for this), wave them towards Biden and chant in Chinese "How much money?" "How much money?" "How much money?" (Duōshǎo qián? - sounds like "Do shou tin"
I have been thinking the same thing, they just desperately need to get him over the finish line.
I wanted to vote for Rudy Guliani the year he ran for President, but he had dropped out of the race by the time CA voted in the primary.
Sometimes on the anniversary of 9-11, I watch footage of Rudy in action that day in NYC. Textbook example of quick thinking and leadership as it unfolded in real time and no one knew what the hell was going on (except for whoever posted the third post of the first Free Republic thread after the second plane went in which simply read: Osama Bin Laden).

I suppose the laptop could have been setup to appear as though Hunter owned it then loaded up with intercepted data. Then dropped off with a legally blind repairman who wouldn’t be able to confirm who dropped it off.
But that doesn’t mean the data isn’t true. So far there has been some independent corroboration.
Mike Lee let loose with a nasty denunciation of Trump. His aspirations to DeepStatehood have been dashed, and he is lashing out.
