For a while it sounded like the EU was going to screw over the UK as much as they could. No mercy, no bargaining. Now they are relenting?

Excellent. Tell the Yurps to get stuffed. A show of strength is the only thing they will understand. Until then they will think they can bully and bluff their way to exploitative one sided deals.
