SCOOP: A person familiar with the matter tells @CBSNews that Bruce Ohr is no longer working at DOJ. He resigned the day before he was going to be terminated by DOJ over his conduct cited in IG Horowitz report. Ohr was faulted for becoming a kind of backchannel linking dossier author Christopher Steele to the FBI after Steele's termination by Bureau as a source. Timing: Ohr left DOJ in recent weeks + seeking his comment

You don’t just “get” a Ham Radio License.

You have to take a technically challenging test. For that you have to study and prepare yourself to pass it. I doubt Nellie Ohr had a background in electronics or engineering. If she somehow managed to secure a Ham License on short notice that needs to be investigated (test taken by a ringer, payoff to someone at the FCC or similar).

As I pointed out in post 22 above, you have to pass a pretty challenging FCC technical exam to get one of these licenses. I suspect the vast majority of these Swampers are too stupid to do so and/or too lazy to study for the test.

Exactly HOW they are getting these needs to be looked into.

I think she was working in the other direction. She was getting info on Carter Page and Michael Cohen from her husband then translating the info into Russian. The ham radio would be a way to make the information publicly available to Russian speakers without an email or phone trail captured by the NSA.

Nellie Ohr’s PhD is in Russian studies and language. She said under oath that she wanted the ham operator’s license in case of natural disasters. Of course, the Ohr’s live in McLean, VA. That’s about the last place in the world where one would feel a need for a ham radio for emergency communications.
