The PA sees their cause beginning to lose altitude in the world arena, as real nations begin to make peace with Israel and move on, joining to face a hostile Iran and curry support from the US as well as Israeli power. It is clear that the fraudulent “two state solution” that we embraced in futility for decades, is fading away as we watch. The PA senses it as well and boy do they not like it.
Shtayyeh called for Europe to recognize a Palestinian state, saying it would help bring about a two-state solution and called for a full association agreement to be drawn up between the EU and the PA in preparation for statehood.
