Virginia’s voter website is down on the last day people have to register to vote. According to a message on the department’s website, the problem is due to a network outage. Below is the message found on the department’s website: "Due to a network outage the Citizen Portal is temporarily unavailable. We are working with our network providers to restore service as quickly as possible. We are working with our network providers to restore service as quickly as possible. Please check back later for your online voter registration or absentee needs.

As a resident of the state of Virginia, this pisses me off. I checked last week to be sure my registration was still in place...and I will vote in person. But with liberal wacko Northam at the helm as our governor, I am not at all surprised.
FAKE! It is a ploy to get extensions until Jan. 20, 2021.
Same tactics they did in FL.
It is so frustrating. This should be breaking news on every website, but it’s only on this one. Guess “voter disenfranchisement” can now be claimed. :<(
So now an Osama Obama appointee will rule that people be allowed to register until midnight on 11/4.
They saw a huge wave of Republicans attempting to register and the commonwealth crashed the servers.
In this state you register, but not for a specific party. You’re either registered or not and vote how you wish.

You are correct, except that a Florida judge ruled against extending the registration deadline. Kaput.
Hard to say what will happen here, but Northam will be sure it would only benefit his far-left candidate. He has tried to pass such restrictive gun laws that many of our sheriff departments have stated flat out they refuse to carry those laws out.
As a Virginia citizen you can also go to your County Registrar Office and vote early right there at the office and put it in a machine which counts the ballot right at the registrar’s office. And there’s literally no crowds.

In general, you are correct; however, the cable cut in Chesterfield County today has disabled all the registrar’s offices to verify a voter’s eligibility status.
As best I can tell, until the cable is fixed you can only vote by PROVISIONAL BALLOT. These are the last ballots to be counted on election day and I would caution against doing this as does my registrar’s office when I checked w/them this afternoon.

ON PURPOSE!!! As a ploy to get the courts to extend voter registration god knows how long:-)
