The damn shame of it was, it denied Trump an opportunity in the Second Debate to flip the script on Scully the moment Steve tried to advance his agenda.
I mean, Trump could have literally shut that debate down, Scully had anti-Trump tweets you haven't even seen yet.

He can’t even write English. He never moderated.
One of the problems going forward is that all of the Republican presidential candidates have huge egos and feel that they can win any debate despite moderator bias. They don’t realize that the conservative voter is being denied a fair and balanced debate process.
All of the Republican presidential candidates need to demand a fair debate process.
Part of me really wants to know why this guy was not properly vetted by the Commission prior to his selection as moderator.
Was this guy the best they could come up with?
Worse yet, if the guy was vetted, was there no one with the spine or brains to say “Um wait a sec here. This guy most definitely does not fall into the non-biased or objective category”.
Because, according to Bob Dole, they are all anti Trump!
All the focus should now be on the next moderator, Kristen Welker. Her reputation should be destroyed by team Trump. I also think Trump should give a preface at the start of the debate, detailing examples of Welker’s democrat favored bias. This is for all the marbles, we can’t hold our fire anymore.
That Kristen person will be a stitch to watch.
She’s the one with the screaming, chin pushed forward, vilest, nastiest of ALL the screaming female reporters.
She is the gold standard of annoying gnats that make up the press corps. If the corps had an award for “Obnoxious,” she would win hands down

Look, the presidential debate moderators have shown clear biases against Republicans for many years now. Republicans keep taking it, too - until Trump, who finally has called out the pro-Democrat bias of the media and so many other institutions.
Please understand that the “Commission” entity is not even a genuine commission. They are 100% self-appointed by the DNC and RNC after wrenching control of presidential debate hosting from the League of Women Voters. There were no presidential debates for 16 years until the League hosted three in 1976 and continued to sponsor the debates until 1984. The “Commission” was formed in 1987 by the Dem and Rep parties...in other words, by The Swamp. There is absolutely no reason why Swamp dwelling “journalists” have to be the moderators except to protect The Swamp’s interests.
