Good evening, radu...the Monday Mess was pretty bad today. I think I got most of the corrections entered, and now I’m off to run my edit report and get started on it.
Hope your cotton is happy and close to being ready to pick.

Hey radu, she was only gone until Sunday, the pups were happy when she got back.
I just sent off 2 VHS tapes to be transferred to DVD's from camcorder footage I took in 1992 of Christmas time with our 2 year old daughter and some Christmas parties we had at our place when we lived out in the country.
Also some footage I took of some crazy times/parties with friends that I'm going to send to them. We all live far away from one another now but the memories are there.

Hey there, Kathy.
Glad to hear you've made some progress on the mess.
I reckon the cotton's happy enough. The plants are brown and ugly and the bolls have popped open with big fluffs of cotton. Sure is gonna be a mess out there when they harvest it. There's always a lot left behind. This is part of one of the front fields today.

That’ll be fun, having all those memories on DVDs to watch.
Your friends will love getting their copies. Are they going to be Christmas presents?
It’s been a quiet day here. Didn’t need to run any errands so I was able to be lazy. LOL

Rather dreary weather today, and unable to take Blue out because I needed my guitar for today’s lesson.
However, the drive to Plymouth was surrounded by color as the trees are really turning now.
Penny got to see a lot of her “admirers” today! :-)

Howdy, luvie.
LOL! ahhh-CHOO is right! I hate even stepping out the door for a minute these days. I hope he NEVER plants cotton in our fields again.
The cold front that went through your neck o’ da woods overnight is getting ready to pass through here any time now. Our low last night was only 70 degrees but tonight it’s supposed to drop into the 40s. They’re talkin’ lows in the 30s Fri. night. BRRRRRRR

I hope you’ll ask him not to. But it looks like a very good crop. Indeed, I’m sure that picking it will stir up stuff that will make you want to have an oxygen mask! Ugh.
The cold front was wonderful! So nice. They’re saying it’ll be 97 on Wednesday before heading back down to the 70s on Thursday. I want off this roller coaster! LOL! The 40s is a bit too cold! We’ll also have that on Thursday night. Maybe we’ll have a bit of fall after all!

I really don’t have any say in what he plants out there. Hubby thinks he - and other farmers - planted cotton this year because they expected soybean prices to be way down. I dunno. There are a few who plant cotton every year but this year there are a lot more who planted it for whatever reason.
Give me corn or soybeans any time. There’s a brief rough time when they pollenate but then it’s over. This cotton has bugged us a LOT more. Yuck!
The front has come through and the temp is dropping pretty quickly. Down to 55 already. Tomorrow will be around 70, then around 80 Wed., then another front comes through Thurs. and Friday’s high will be around 60. Mid 60s after that. Real fall weather.
I hope you have it in store too.

I hope they decide that cotton is too expensive to raise. I have cotton allergies so I can empathize with what you’ve been through. Better hope there isn’t a cotton gin anywhere close. Ugh!
It’s 64 right now. I just love that it’s not 84. LOL! Hope it doesn’t get too cold there too quickly. So you can acclimate.

As many times as he was here with the trucks with sprayers or had a crop duster flying over spraying stuff, I don’t see how it can be all that profitable.
Hubby told me where the gin is but I don’t remember where now. Just that it’s several miles away.
We’re obviously allergic to it and it’s NOT fun.
We usually get our first hard freeze around Halloween though we might get a little frost before that. At least this year we’re getting some chill beforehand to help us acclimate. Sometimes, like last year, we don’t and it hurts.
I’ll bet your kittehs are enjoying the nice cool night.

Yes, the kitties are loving it a lot. They just seem more relaxed. Sort of like me. LOL!
May they get that stuff sorted soon so you can breathe for the rest of the year. Doesn’t it seem like there’s always something out there to make us sneeze and cough? Grrr.

A very pleasant good Tuesday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Lauren for this morning's thread.
How's everyone doing this morning?

After the heat they’ve lived with so long this year, it’s easy to believe the kitties are more relaxed. Such a relief for them.
The usual stuff around here doesn’t make me sneeze all that much. Just makes my sinuses run a lot and on really bad days, plugs them up. The cotton is doing that but it makes me sneeze a lot too. And makes my eyes itch.
It bothers Bella a lot, too, and with her asthma she doesn’t need the added aggravation.
All ‘round, it’s a crummy crop to be surrounded by. With luck, we won’t be again.
