Joe Biden holds a solid 8.5-point lead over President Donald Trump, barely three weeks ahead of Election Day, the inaugural IBD/TIPP 2020 Presidential Election Tracking Poll finds.

Biden leads Trump, 51.9%-43.4%, in a four-way 2020 election poll of likely voters. Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen has the support of 2.4%, and Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins 0.8%.

In a head-to-head Biden vs. Trump poll, the Democratic nominee holds a commanding 10.4-point advantage, 52.7%-42.3%.

Could liberals have infiltrated the group being polled? Like undecideds in town hall meetings?

So I went back to a 2016 poll for the methodology and here is what they did then No Internet supplemented like as in the poll today>

“Results based on survey of 1107 likely voters conducted from 11/4 - 11/7. Margin of error: +/- 3.1 percentage points. Party identification breakdown:(Unweighted) 361 Democrats/367 Republicans/362 Independents; (Weighted) 361/333/381. Results in table above are based on weighted sample. IBD’s polling partner TechnoMetrica uses “traditional” telephone methodology using live interviewers for data collection for its public opinion surveys. Roughly 65% of interviews come from a cell phone sample and 35% from a Random Digit Dial (RDD) land line sample.”

People I know are voting for Biden for the most stupid reasons. That’s why I believe Biden is ahead.

“Trump ads have been pretty bad for the most part.”

Yes they have, bad or (mainly) non-existent. I did see one decent ad yesterday, the “Biden doesn’t have a clue” ad.

Trump is busy being President and trying his best to be re-elected to save this country from (hopefully) a Civil War. He doesn’t have time to create or approve TV ads.

But it does kind of make you wonder about the people who DO create (or fail to create) the ads and decide where to run them.

It’s almost like they’d prefer a Democrat sweep in less than a month.

Something smells here. IBD/TIPP was, on Election Day, one of the most accurate in 2016. There’s NO WAY this is correct. Has this polling effort changed hands since?

Meanwhile, Rasmussen today shows Trump at 49% approval.

There was a decent anti-China one some months ago. At the time, I figured it would be the start of a series of similarly themed ads. Nope. Instead there have been some so pathetic that they almost seem like parody. It’s like the ad teams want him to lose.

Here is the deal, there is simply NO WAY both the NBA finals and the NFL would have suffered such a catastrophic collapse in their TV ratings if President Trump were behind in the polls.

After all, it was President Trump who called on Americans to boycott NBA NFL games over their disrespect for the flag. As it turns out, most Americans agreed with him.

Slow Joe and the Dems strongly took a knee with the overpaid BLM backing millionaires of pro sports.

It’s impossible for Trump to be behind by what was it, 16 points from CNN, even while most Americans show they agree with him, and huge numbers show up for Trump’s rallies even as Slow Joe struggles to get even 20 people to attend any rally of his.

ONLINE surveys to better capture younger voters.

Who are not a reliable group for showing up on election day.

whoever is running the campaign is doing a terrible job—incompetence or resignation, no ads or whimpy ineffective ads when there is so much low hanging fruit

faulty and/or fake national polls are meaningless ... what DOES mean something are the winning paths to gain a majority of electoral votes: Trump has many paths to 270 while slow joe has almost none ...

Sure. Makes sense.

They had the most accurate poll last time, so this time around they completely change the methodology?

It wasn’t broke, why did they fix it?

A Biden vote is an anti-Trump vote. Thats where their enthusiasm lies. It’s all about hate, exactly as the Marxists desired. They’ve been brainwashed by the universities, Hollywood, and social media into thinking that Trump is Hitler, America is bad, etc.

” The Biden campaign team’s lame excuse was “they didnt advertise it.”

“Well ok.....but local Democrats surely knew the candidates were coming....
<><> where were all the Democrat party officials?
<><> where were the state, county and local elected Democrats?
<><> where were the party regulars?
<><> where were the rank and file getting out the vote?
<><> where were the “enthusiastic” volunteers?
<><> where were all the committed voters knocking on doors for the candidates?
<><> where were all the registered Democrats who, we’ve been told, voted early?”

all EXCELLENT points! but most importantly WHY hasn’t the ostensible biden “campaign” NOT been advertising these events?

i think the real problem is that polling accuracy has completely collapsed ... the rasmussen reports daily presidential tracking poll has had WILD double-digit swings in the last few days, which indicates that their polling methodolgy is completely failing as there’s simply no way that the sentient of the electorate itself is gyrating that wildly on a day-to-day basis ...

At so many of these Biden events, a handful of people show up, as if by accident.
The same excuse is used...."we did not advertise he was coming."

Good question on your part....why arent they advertising?
Are they afraid ads will reinforce the bad news that no one showed up?

“You poll watchers must have nothing better to do with your lives. There’s no way Biden is going to beat Trump. They can’t even cheat enough to win. “

Exactly.

I’d like to know what kind of pressure these pollsters get from outside groups (BLM, DNC, etc)

Despite Biden's solid polling lead, just 38% of voters expect him to win, while 37% think Trump will prevail. Meanwhile, 48% think most of their neighbors will vote for Trump, and just 36% think their neighbors will mostly back Biden.
