Ego was hurt or he figured that the slap justified execution if he was carrying out a plan, imo. Murder either way. Any sort of drug could also could ease you past that fine line of self control, too. And the guy is said to be an atheist so there is a another guard rail he didn't have. About all the reasons I can think of.

The shot from far away shows the gunshot and the mace cloud happening very close together, I think less that a second. That tell me that the gun was already out when the victim sprayed.

The worthless Denver cops did say there was street camera footage. Not that it matters when you are comparing mace against a deadly weapon, but I bet the victim’s only defense was mace in the final split second. Clearly, there is no evidence of Keitner with a gun. Allegedly, there were two guns on the ground when it was all over. Was the second gun also Dulloff’s or planted by the reporter?
This didn't help anything either. I wouldn't hold anymore cop appreciation events.

Sorry to say, from only seeing the video, the shooter was assaulted, victim stepped back and raised his hand with an object in it, as to be aiming at shooter. Self defense.

From some pretty good analysis I've been following, Keitner had a gun in a holster on the left side, but never pulled it. The picture of the killer reaching for the victim (the "slap" picture,) shows him reaching for the victim's waist, possibly to the holstered gun, which you can just make out under the jacket. After warding the killer off with a slap, the victim steps back a few paces, then, oddly, we're missing the Denver Post's pictures where the killer pulls the gun out.
Based on the possible timing, the gun was out and aimed when the pepper spray was deployed.
I don't trust the Denver police on this, but it is a murder in their district, and so they have jurisdiction. Corrupt Wray would never allow it to be classified as a hate crime, because antifa is just an idea, don't you know, but this needs to be looked at by a different agency.
Nope, that video is missing frames - namely the frames that show the killer drawing the gun.
Piecing that together from other photos and evidence, we see:
(1) Killer reaches for victims waist, victim had a holstered gun, and was holding a can of bear spray at his waist.
(2) Victim slaps killer away while the killers hand is at or very close to the victims waist trying to grab bear spray or holstered gun.
(3) Victim steps back about 8 feet.
(4) Killer draws gun, while victim still has both hands down.
(5) Victim, reacting to this unknown person pointing a gun at his face, bring bear spray up and sprays, killer fires gun (already raised and pointed) almost immediately.
You consider with that information that the killer was acting in "self-defense"? If so, I think you need some more CCW training.
There’s a whole lot more to this manufactured incident than the Denver PD and the rabid liars at 9News are letting on.
