Since the Associated Press considers itself “an independent global news organization dedicated to factual reporting,” it would be problematic for an AP article to contain commentary packaged as news and facts.
Real Clear Politics co-founder and president Tom Bevan captured the following excerpt from an AP story.
“Bullock said that if Coney Barrett was confirmed, he would be open to measures to depoliticize the court, including adding judges to the bench, a practice critics have dubbed packing the courts.”
The latest version of the article contains the following note:
“This story has been edited to make clear that it is Bullock’s opinion, rather than a fact, that adding justices to the Supreme Court would depoliticize the court.”

Well, actually, I thought Bullock meant to say “RE-politicize” the Court...
The Democrats should not be able to have it both ways. From other sources this morning, Democrats complained that by confirming Barrett, the Republicans are packing the court. Shouldn’t Republicans, in turn, point out that they are depoliticizing the court.
The actual fact of the matter is that liberal justices find in favor of their desired outcome rather than the interpretation of the law. They actively find “rights” in the Constitution that are not present in the text. Barrett is testifying that she will make rulings based on interpreting the law and the text of the Constitution. So confirming Barrett is ACTUALLY depoliticizing the court.
This will be a step in the right direction!

Rigging the court by adding on more Justices is an end run
on the Constitution.
The Democrats continually prove they can’t win by going
along with the rules.

The GOP has done a poor job explaining what “packing the court” means. Journalism is dead, people don’t understand separation of power, and will remain ignorant unless pushed hard by patriots.
The only way to depoliticize the court is to make all nine justices constitutional conservatives.
By definition, a constitutional conservative simply applies to laws as written, without injecting any politics into it.
