Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Cal Cunningham was asked repeatedly Friday whether he's had other extramarital affairs aside from one confirmed this week, but he declined to answer the questions.
Cunningham's campaign scheduled a virtual news conference to discuss the need for a better response from Congress to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but every question he was asked was related to his affair with Arlene Guzman Todd, a public relations strategist from California and the wife of an Army veteran.
He acknowledged a week ago sending Guzman Todd inappropriate text messages, but she confirmed to The Associated Press on Tuesday that they had two in-person encounters: one in March in Los Angeles that she said did not include intimate contact and a second in July in North Carolina, where she said they were intimate.

I have spoken with several liberal relatives who say it’s too important a race for them to not vote for Cunningham anyway....even though they are disgusted with him.

Most U.S. Senators wait until they get to Washington to start collecting mistresses or boy toys. Cunningham was just trying to get a head start. He’s a Democrat, its not fair to hold him responsible for his runaway ding dong.

I won’t be voting for Tillis because he has been a great Senator, just like I didn’t vote for Romney because I thought he’d be a great president. I certainly didn’t vote for Trump based on his personal morals. The Dems in NC are doing what Republicans have done for years, vote for a flawed candidate because the alternative is completely unacceptable to them. Don’t assume a Tillis win yet. 2016 showed there are truckloads of ballots in Durham yet to be discovered. Dems control the key positions overseeing this election in NC.
You should tell them that really surprises you. They would vote for a man who slept with an active duty military man just because they hate Trump.
