Appeals court blocks further construction on Trump border wall

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday ruled that President Trump’s use of emergency powers to allocate millions of dollars in funding for the construction of a southern border wall was illegal, the latest blow to the Trump administration’s effort to limit immigration.

In the 2-1 decision, the court upheld a December 2019 district court summary judgment in favor of a request from the advocacy groups the Sierra Club and the Southern Border Communities Coalition against Defense Secretary Mark Esper, acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf and “all persons acting under their direction ... from using military construction funds appropriated for other purposes to build a border wall.”

Another slapdown coming for the 9th Circus from the Supreme Court, in 3 - 2 - ...

They probably felt that they just had to do something, to contribute to the Harris campaign, even if it will just be held in abeyance until final reversal.

The Ninth Circuit, yawn. I’m sure their ruling is the end, just like it was for the travel ban.

So those judges want the Covid infected illegals to stay at their house? BTW I don’t think it’s still in the 9th Circuit jurisdiction is it?

Trump should ignore and nullify this invalid decision with the following explanation: The Untied States Constitution MANDATES the Federal Government protect against INVASION.

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion
US Const., Art. IV, Sec. 4.

I think that this is only about one source of funding - the $3.6 billion from Military Construction.

Other border wall projects should be completely unaffected.

The Supreme Court has repeatedly been telling these Leftist lower courts, that their attempts at Nationwide injunctions on the President during a declared emergency will not be imposed, until all review is exhausted (that is, until Amy Coney Barrett gets to weigh in).

The USSC already ruled in Trumps favor over this.
Trump can safely ignore it.

Brilliant!

(As a bonus, it's even true.)

Time to investigate the judges and all the advocacy groups working against the wall for funding originating from cartels and other traffickers.

And when found guilty, because the chances that they aren’t are damn near nill, string them up.

“....the latest blow to the Trump administration’s effort to limit immigration. “

Wut?! Entering the country illegally is not “immigration”. Training for militias in South America and then being shipped to the Mexican border to participate in a caravan and posing as a “dreamer” to try to sneak into the US is not “immigration”.

This has already been settled by SCOTUS, and the 9th circuit can take a flying leap/

I thought that this had already been decided by the courts some time ago and found to be OK. Am I missing something?

In any case only a 3 judge panel from the 9 circuit is like asking Hillary, Obama, and Pelosi to give a ruling. But much time will wasted asking for it to go to the full court.

If that is the case, (what with money being fungible and all),
just tell them we already spent that pocket of money,
and we’re using money out of a different pocket now.

OR,
well heck, we haven’t even reached into that pocket, yet.
