The Hostile Takeover We’re Resisting Has to Do With Ideology Not Race
Townhall.com ^ | October 10, 2020 | Michael Brown

If you listen to the left, you would think that conservative Americans are primarily White racists who want to preserve a White America. These White nationalists, frightened by foreign immigration and terrified by the rising prominence of Black Americans, have aligned themselves with Donald Trump in order to “make America White again.” In reality, while this may speak for a tiny minority of conservatives, it does not speak for the masses. It is a destructive ideology we resist. Race is not the issue.

Our universities have shifted dramatically to the left, to the point that, in 2016, a Harvard student wrote, “The lack of political and ideological diversity on campus is troubling–this year’s poll of the Class of 2020 by The Harvard Crimson revealed that only thirteen percent of incoming freshmen identify as conservative, while an overwhelming two-thirds of the class reported being left of center.”

Fast forward to March 2020, when a “recent survey by the Harvard Crimson found that conservatives make up just over 1% of the school's faculty.” Of the 500 faculty members surveyed, “Only three people said they would vote for President Trump in his reelection bid.”

This is what concerns us. The racial or ethnic makeup of the faculty or student body is absolutely immaterial. In fact, I would rejoice if Harvard recovered its Christian roots while maintaining academic excellence and in the process, became overwhelmingly Black. I would grieve if it became 100 percent White and drifted even more to the left.

Shall I say it once more? Ideology, not race, is the issue.

Many conservatives are worried about Big Tech censoring and/or suppressing our views, and there is good reason for concern. As reported by Wired magazine on October 6, “employees at Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, and Oracle have contributed nearly 20 times as much money to Biden as to Trump since the beginning of 2019. According to data released by the Federal Election Commission, which requires individuals who contribute $200 or more to a presidential campaign to report their employer, employees at these six companies have contributed $4,787,752 to Biden and just $239,527 to Trump.”

And who are the leaders of these companies? Which faces come to mind when you think of Big Tech? Men like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg and Tim Cook and Jack Dorsey, all of them White.

Our issue is with ideology, not color.

We don’t like the aggressive sex-ed classes that have been pushed in many of our school districts for several decades. It’s the content, not the color that concerns us.

We don’t like the direction that LGBTQ+ activism is taking us, but once again, that is an ideological conflict, not a racial conflict. That’s why the same Black Californians who overwhelmingly voted for Barack Obama in 2008 also voted for Proposition 8, defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. They believed him when he said that he, too, stood for marriage as God intended it, and he knew that affirming that was important in gaining their votes.

Just think of the political leaders with whom conservatives differ most deeply, including people like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Bernie Sanders. What they have in common is a leftist ideology. The fact that they are White offers us no sense of solidarity in the least.

That’s also our issue with leftist politicians like Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib. The fact that they are women of color is not the issue. It is their radical ideology which we oppose. We find great solidarity with solid conservatives who are Black or Hispanic.

That’s why the same things that trouble us with Antifa (with many White leaders at the helm) trouble us with the BLM movement (with many Black leaders at the helm). The common element that concerns us is what we perceive to be a destructive, leftist ideology. It is an ideology that is increasingly dominating our culture. It is an ideology that is seeking to suppress and even cancel those who resist.

That is what concerns us. May people of all colors and ethnicities stand together against it.

frightened by foreign immigration

Michael, I am frightened by foreign immigration, specialty at the current insane levels of "immigration", so does this make me racist in your eyes?

The term Black community is a political construct. Similarly Black Lives Matter is a political construct that conveys an erroneous concept.

There is no black homogenity, even of skin coloration.

The lives of black criminals do not matter. Such lives are a plague on American society that simply do not matter

Its not ideology, it is caste. Ideology is a caste marker, not an inherent value. Ideology is traduced as necessary, but beliefs must be asserted regularly in order to show membership and status in the group.

If I have to live in a Socialist country, it won’t be this one.
Every single city in America is ruined. Every...single...one.
Anybody know a common theme why that is?
Just as an FYI, all cultures are not equal.

There is only one race, and that is the Human

I can do nothing about it if blacks don't want to be considered human. Or can I?

On October 4 of this year I offered the following reply which I think fully anticipates this article. I repost it here:

Is the United States in the Midst of an Insurgency?

10/4/2020, 4:03:03 PM · 38 of 58

nathanbedford to Jim Noble; Lurker

Nathan Bedford's first maxim of American politics:

All politics is not local but ultimately racial

Many will be aware that I have been posting this maxim for years on these threads but have refrained from doing so recently because, although the maxim seems now to be more true than ever, it is to miss the whole peril of the insurgency which is now attempting to destroy our Constitution, suppress our liberties and seize control of the Republic.

To a hammer everything looks like a nail, and to a leftist politician everything looks racist. So the leftist politician reflexively beats down Republican nail heads with the hammer of the charge of racism. But now the game has moved far beyond racism as a mere political tactic for the left. It has become a symptom even as it remains a tool.

Even cursory armchair students of history know that ideas have consequences and one of those consequences is to shape elections. If that were the limit of the power of ideas one would be content to argue ideology in the context of an election. We are not in that situation today. Although leftist ideology will shape this election, it will not limit its onrush to the results of an election, nor will the left be content with any adverse results coming out of an election or a court decision whether the source is federal, state, local or multinational.

The new ideology which now dominates the bleak and arid soul of the left is best described and rigorously analyzed in a book called, Cynical Theory. The book traces the evolution of leftist thinking by picking it up at the point of The Frankfurt School which insinuated critical thinking into the bloodstream of society by originally infecting our schools.

Cynical theory describes the evolution of the Frankfurt school socialist philosophy and tells us why it is absolutely impervious to logic and why it is so successful in conquering vulnerable "liberal" minds.

This postmodern ideology is impervious to logic because it excludes logic from its calculus. The author of this article suggests that the leftist ideology successfully couples with black America because African-Americans believe themselves already oppressed so critical race theory, which postulates institutionalized racism, exploits a vulnerable demographic in our midst to upend the system. If Islam is impervious to reason, if Islam has a philosophy which encourages men to fly planes into buildings so they may have the 72 virgins in afterlife, it succeeds against reason and morality because it is a closed intellectual circle. How do you argue with that? Similarly, the plight of the African-American "community" has become a closed, intellectually sealed culture.

Add critical race theory, and the Black Lives Matter shock troops of the revolution are impervious to criticism just as they are impervious to logic. In fact logic, as noted above, has been consciously discarded. The cynical theory exposed by the authors of the book of the same title is that all Western epistemology must be rejected. That means the entire Enlightenment must go. All of this must be rejected because one society cannot be said to be better or more worthy than another. Hence, the scientific method created by the Western world is no better than the Stone Age superstition of a headhunter in Java.

Once one discards logic and with it the scientific method one can easily discard mathematics so 2 and 2 no longer equals 4, in fact 2 and 2 may not equal 4 because that is a Western, white man's, construct. If one can set aside mathematics as the French set aside the days of the week and the months of the year during the French Revolution, capturing racial politics is but child's play. If one can capture the white man's epistemology as Islam has conquered the minds of its adherents, you have a new pathology sweeping across every class and race. It is almost unstoppable because to oppose it is not just racist but grounded in the false idea that Western epistemology is something decent people should not adhere to.

The author is dead wrong when he asserts:

To defeat this insurgency, we must eliminate the dissatisfaction that drives the largest groups of actors.

Many of these actors are quite well-to-do and have no legitimate bitch about their lot in life. As for those who are truly poor, their problem is not their economic condition, their problem is their philosophy. In short they've got to get their minds right and no amount of government welfare systems will do that. In fact, history shows that government intervention along these lines brings about a result contrary to its benign intention, for example, breaking down African-American families and generating a dystopian ghetto.

Dealing with the symptoms, building projects in the ghetto or hiring more black police chiefs will not solve the problem of this soul sickness. The disease is impervious to this cure. We must find a way to restore the Judeo/Christian ethic for without it we are lost.

It’s about INDIVIDUALS. ALWAYS HAS BEEN. ALWAYS WILL BE.

BTW...

If you’re ever set upon by BLM yutes in Detroit (and you prolly won’t be...good mayor and police chief)...but if you are and they grant you one final wish...ask to speak to their parents and grandparents. Ask them about the Electrifying Mojo’s tagline...one of the greatest DJs ever was in MOTOWN on WJLB late night as I recall.

“If you’re at the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hold on tight...DON’T LET GO”

They’ll give you a smile, a fist bump, or wanna have a beer with you.

They all LOOK alike? Yeah, THEY DO.

The CRIMINAL PSYCHOPATHS. If not look...Face...then Words...then Deeds.

You see them. It’s 2020. Your vision is good said the doctor.

I stated it in my very first post in 1999.

“It’s not about...”

I wonder if a majority of blacks will ever realize they are only tools of the left. I would think they would be tired of being used. The NBA players, all lined up, arms around each other demonstrating “collective unity” for a cause. They think they look strong, arrogant and defiant. They are actually demonstrating a collective IQ problem for all to see, proving they are not the brightest bulbs representing their race, no minds if their own and only chanting a dogma given to them by the socialist left. I don’t like to see people demean themselves, I turn off the TV instead.

I think most people who have a working brain figured out long ago when someone, especially the left, starts screaming “racist” it means they have lost all firm ground to stand on. “Racist” is what the left uses when they have nothing else.
