It is not immediate. There is a review process. He can order unredacted, but any assistance from other nations agencies or personal protected information has to be reviewed. Documents may be unclassified by POTUS but sources and source documents can remain classified and agencies will review whatever is released first to ensure nothing still classified is compromised.

Read it, does not address the actual declassification process, just that the President order declassification. Also, that article deals with one aspect, not declassification of a multi-agency document produced prior to a President assuming office. There is a process. I suspect some of these docs are already processed for declassification, but are still considered part of the investigation.

It does seem ominous that, on another thread, it was stated that the majority of the Joint Chiefs were put on quarantine due to "Covid-19 exposure". So the Joint Chiefs are currently side-lined.
I also wonder why an assistant to Barr would be involved.

Wray is a snake. And the fact that Barr isn’t involved is concerning. My guess is it’s a move against POTUS or someone close to him.
Probably in retaliation for POTUS’ declassification authorization. How far would the FBI be willing to go to protect itself and the IC? Scary shit.
